Proposal: Philly-Dallas

Loui Eriksson
Jamie Oleksiak/Philip Larsen
2012 2nd Rounder(Philly)


Dallas gets a two-way center to play behind Benn and another playmaking winger to help with the loss of Eriksson. Philly gets an excellent two-way winger who could contribute at both ends of the ice and also a young defender (Larsen) who could step right in or Oleksiak who ready soon. Philly also gets their second rounder back so they can use that with whatever else to acquire someone like Suter's rights at the draft.

As a Flyers fan, I'd take that deal in an instant for Eriksson alone. Young 70 point two-way forward for a talented guy that may never do much more then 50 points in his career and a prospect (albeit a good one?). I'm in.

The Flyers have depth, they lack star power in terms of point production though. Nobody besides Giroux is a star in terms of point production on our team.

How could a Dallas fan even offer that.

We're giving up a 70 point winger, who to boot is one of the best defensive wingers in the league, if not the best, a bluechip defensive prospect or a great young defensemen and a 2nd round pick, for a two-way center who likely won't be as good as Eriksson and a 55 point winger.

No thanks. Not even close. Flyers fans even know how bad a deal it is for us.

Even Philly fans recognize it's awful. You're criminally underrating Eriksson here.
