Sharp - Toews - Stalberg
X - Kane - Hossa

These should be the top 2 lines. Please do not attempt to start next game again with Kane - Toews - Hossa. Stick to what worked at the end of the season, and the 2nd and 3rd period this game. Let Toews practice with Stalberg and Sharp and they will get better as well. They should definitely improve over Kruger centering that line.

He played Smith and Kruger in the playoffs last year. I'm just stunned Hoss put out a lineup without Kruger in it. I like his lineups more than Brunette dragging down the 2nd line, that's for sure.

Smith throwing his gloves off to sell the dive is so good

ehhhhhh playin a guy with so little NHL experience in a dogfight of a series against a team like phoenix seems pretty ballsy.

That said, frolik or hayes should definitely dress over bumnette.

Smith got what he deserved for his "act" in the 2nd period. Pretty much went from career ending head injury to staying in the game. Thought the yotes would score on us again in OT the way the first 5 minutes went, but gotta hand it to the Hawks, they won't quit. Awesome!

Q needs a better 4th line out there because he ain't playing em in OT and the team was just dead tired. Yeah Bollig scored but he's still a big weakness out there.

I mean, the thing is, at least Kruger was playing in a professional league in Sweden before getting on Hawks during playoffs last year. And Smith was in AHL last season, correct? Big difference going from juniors to NHL playoffs, and you can't really imagine a guy is going to be effective being thrown into that situation. Maybe you bring him up, let him watch the games, and try to throw him in next series if the Hawks get past Phoenix. But even that is a big stretch.

I would love to burn a year of Saad's ELC so he can get his first real NHL experience in a totally stress-free, pressure-free, and overall friendly atmosphere like playoff NHL hockey

I'd like to see Hayes, gives the Hawks another guy who can play a physical game.

The more I watch Smith's dive the more obvious it gets. Flicks off the gloves for no reason, after the initial contact he flicks his head back for no reason. What a joke.

Do you blame him for selling it? Any goalie would.

That said, yeah, it was a ********* call.

Um... yes, I blame a grown man for pretending to be more hurt than they actually are. It's called diving and it's a disgrace to the sport of hockey.

It's pretty obvious that Saad is going to be recalled to the team. As are Danault, McNeill, Pirri, Morin, Beach.. etc as part of the Black Aces.

It's 100% on Q if he plays.

He was legitimately hit and did bang his head. He embellished...maybe stayed down longer than he needed to, but it wasn't much of a dive IMO.

Luongo, now there's a diver.

Because Stalberg has been 100% ineffective in this series and he's played some of his best hockey as a Hawk in the bottom-6. Shaw plays the same way no matter what line he's on.

Leafs fan here. Have been watching this series pretty intently. Hope you guys take it.

There was something about Mike Smith, even before this game, that ticked me off.

Possibly has something to do with how he tries to head fake defenders every time he handles the puck. Chill out Datsyuk. This game sealed it for me though. What a pile of s***. That dive was worse than anything I've seen from Kesler, and that's saying something.

The tying goal was sweet. Would have been sweeter if they gave it to seabrook, but oh well.

Congrats guys and good luck in game 3

Yeah.. that was just a blatant mistake. In my line-up, Kruger would be the 4th line centre.
