Wilkes Barre/Scranton is shaping up to possibly be dangerous next season.
Bennett-Viellieux-Lerg
Peterson-Street-Walker
Gibbons-Craig-Thompson
Payerl-Sill-(whomever i am forgetting)
Despres-Grant
Morrow-Mormina
Sneep-Samuelsson
Theissen
Killeen
There is some serious potential. I know that I resigned some guys and not others. I am just trying to guess here. More goaltending and more centers. I did not take Da Kuhn and Uher into account, nor Rogalski and McNeil.

I don't think KV will be playing the 1st line after missing so much time but players wise I think it's pretty accurate as of now. Assuming of course Bortz and/or Strait make the team or don't clear. I know there's been some argument over that but I think they would both be claimed.
Such a wasted year for Bennett because of the injury. I thought he should have just went back to school.
I guess the Pens are comfortable that he still progressed some physically last year since he could workout all the time even though he wasn't playing or maybe Beau just wants paid. He could just be tired of working the lame college kid jobs.
I doubt he would have been signed if the team hadn't been comfortable with him playing in the AHL next year. It seems like the main goal of him going to DU in the first place was to let him bulk up. And while I'm sure both Bennett and the Pens would have preferred he stayed healthy, you have to assume that at this point he's put on the weight, and now the team wants to see him play 80-some games rather than 40-some.

I'll be very surprised if Kuhnhackl and Uher will both be on that team next year. I think both are ready to make the jump.
Payerl with an assist in his first game with WBS. And it was Macintyre of all ppl that had the goal he assisted on. Payerl must REALLY make players around him better huh?
As I understand it, he is not eligible unless there were to be some emergency situations. Like Peterson develops the flu (just an example, I pulled the name out of nowhere). There are ways to get around it, but most likely Bennett does not see the ice during the playoffs.
On Bennett:
Quote:
One last note before I go: Talked to assistant general manager Jason Botterill between periods tonight. He said Beau Bennett will not be reporting to Wilkes-Barre here at the end of the season while he continues to rehab his surgically repaired wrist. Bennett should be good to go by development camp in the summer.
IF we get booted in the 1st round, where do we draft? Does it work so that of the 8 teams that loses the 1st round they just go by the standings and put them into the spots 15-22 based on points or is it some kind of lottery or something?
That 3.75 million dollar deal is a 4 year contract. He makes 925k per season, totally cheap and affordable.
Not true. Max years on an ELC is 3 years, 3.75 is the caphit. They get paid 925 grand a year of straight salary, the rest is made up from performance bonuses.

Right now we are slated to pick 27th.
If the 4 teams who make their respective Conference Finals are all lower in the standings (i.e. fewer regular season points) than us, the most we could move up is 4 spots.
So depending who advances to the final 4, we could be picking anywhere between 23 and 27.
