Rangers fan coming in peace.

That was a bad hit by Hags and I really hope Alfie's okay. He's one of the gentlemen of the sport.

Should be two games for Hagelin, one for Philips and a fine for Carkner.

Not be a jerk but Phillips is not going to get anything: he got the two minutes he deserved.
Hagelin will not be suspended.
Carkner will get 2 games

Good to see a respectful post, there has been a lot of garbage from posters on both sides. Although, I don't think Phillips deserves anything more then a fine, because it really looks to me like he wasn't going for the head

The NHL potentially not suspending Hagelin will absolutely do more harm to the NYR, especially in front of the Ottawa faithful. Fans are going to be crazy, and the SENS are going to be targeting certain Rangers players with the intent to hurt them.

He'll be listed as out indefinitely up until he takes to the ice for the warmup tomorrow. Knowing Alfie..... I'd be shocked if he didn't play.

I'd like to think that is never really the case. Now, with New Orleans bounties and McSorley that doesn't always hold true. But I'd be surprised if we come back and do anything deliberate. We sent our message with Carkner. You can't kill 5 minutes off every night.

And expect Hagelin to get at least a game.

Does anyone have the footage of Tortorella mocking Alfie?

That was a painful hit to watch. We may not like eachother now, but I really hope Alfie is ok.

I would love to see Maclean grab a hold of Tortarella and ****ing rag doll his old ass for mocking Alfie like that.

In fact, I would love to bump into Tortarella while he is in Ottawa.

I dunno, Tortorella looks like a scrapper. I don't think it would be an easy one.

From the Swedish article. It's hilarious how one word doesn't get translated, I literally lawled for a couple minutes.

Quote:
LOS ANGELES. Daniel Alfredsson was injured and left the night's game at Madison Square Garden in the second period.
It was the Rangers Swedish success forward Carl Hagelin, who lowered Alfie with a armbågstackling to the head of the frame corner.
- Really ugly although I do not think he did it deliberately. But that was no hockey tackle one wants to see the rink, said Alfredsson's teammate Erik Karlsson HockeyExpressen.se

L O L

They are the same age, only a few problems;

John is 5 ' 7, 170 pounds and never fought at any level

Paul Maclean is 6 ' 0, 210 pds averaged 100 pim a year and was in more then 40 fights in his career...

It would look like Mike Tyson fighting Tom Cruise..

TSN does. It's in the highlight package for the game on their web site.

Tortorella is listed on hockeydb as 5-08. Is he that small?

Watch someone unexpected to take retribution. Or the whole team. Might be a brawl in game 3, glad I'm going. Someone take out torterella as well, same with bob Cole (Potvin could take cole right? "Pull up your pants Bob! Its time to retire!"and one of those guys from the intermissions. Cole is terrible at least Potvin is funny sometimes.

Now we know why Tortorella has **** thrown at him while he's on the bench. A coach mocking an injured player, did this actually happen?

I don't think he was mocking Alfie, more like showing that he thought he ducked into the hit.

I don't mind Torts on this one.

He's going to stand up for his team.

It's what he's paid to do.

He didn't make light of any of it in the post-game presser.
