I updated my clients in the FA thread. If they have their named bolded and underlined, their offers are ranked according to their interest. For the ones that aren't, the highest money offer is their favorite, and are close to signing.
Rene has not done well under the pressure here in Montreal. shipping him off gives us cap space and roster space for someone that can play in our city. shawn adds size however he will need to play his way onto our NHL team
Expect Ryan Kesler to be moved. We're pleased with a few teams offers for him, and we're prepared to move forward with Joe Pavelski as our #2 C, while using Kesler to upgrade our Top 6 wings or Top 4 defense.
The winning offer will include one of these pieces and a top prospect.

Sorry for any confusion, but I already re-signed Asham.
Western Conference GM toured a few breweries and spent the majority of the rest of the night at his favorite pub/brewery. Offers will be addressed when I'm no longer still drunk/hungover...

Haha, sounds like a fun time. Now trade me Koivu for this delicious bottle of Gatorade!
The Toronto Maple Leafs further added to their prospect depth today, acquiring former Ducks 1st round selection Richard Rakell from Anaheim in exchange for defenceman Cody Franson.
"Richard is a player we've liked for a while, and with the acquisition of Greg Zanon, this was a move we could afford to make. Cody will get a great opportunity in Anaheim, while Richard will continue to develop into what we believe will be a very effective top 6 forward in the NHL."
Him falling over the goaltender last game causing a goal..not so much.
Keith has had some shining moments this past year, validating that he IS still a Top-4 defenseman in the NHL. However he simply does not fit our team system in any way whatsoever. We're hoping a capspace heavy team picks him up, as given a role in a more freewheeling system Keith will likely earn or come close to earning his contract.

confirm
We love the addition of big Cody Franson. We were looking for a right-handed d-man and Cody fits the bill. He will be a big part of our core and will be very important for us now and in the future.
