He probably wants the rest and to spend time with his wife. And because he knows if he stays healthy, he'll probably have to start another 70 games next year.
Why would Ruff reject Canada? Could've had the most talented team in the tourney and planted seeds of buffalo in stars heads
Or ruined any chance of them coming altogether. Blessing in disguise.
"Guys, you can't keep trying to score when you're up one goal in the 3rd period!! You have to sit on the lead!! And let's start leaning on Cam a little more to win us these games!"
Ehrhoff and Sulzer both won't play for Team Germany... But does anyone know what's the deal with Sulzer at the moment? The official explanation for him not going to the WC are "personal reasons", just like it was when he missed the last games of the regular season for us... Sounds like something pretty bad happened
Hodgson I believe will be a no for Canada. Hes been added to the Toronto Card Expo
on May 5th, which I believe is day tournament starts?
The tournament does start that weekend - with opening day on Friday, May 4.
In a weird twist - Canadas second game (their opener vs Slovakia is the day before)
which will be vs the United States - will be played on Saturday, May 5 at 12:00 pm ET
which is the time when Cody Hodgson is scheduled to start signing autographs.
It would be cool if theres a TV nearby so Cody and the rest of the Canadians
can watch Gerbe and the United States kick their ass. That game along with
every United States game thats played will be shown LIVE on NBC Sports Network.
Its Sabres Alumni Autograph Day at the Expo as Hasek is scheduled to sign at the
same time as Hodgson while Perreault and LaFontaine start signing an hour later.
