i'm expecting dubinsky to fly tomorrow. the expression when he walked(kicked and screamed his way) off the ice looked like the old dubinsky. tomorrow is time to get even. we don't need a goon. dubinsky is going to handle it. i haven't seen him look that emotional in a long time.

Of course, that is a ref-specific kind of thing.

The inconsistency in officiating is mind boggling, till you realize it was Ian Walsh last night.
I think everyone can agree there is no consistency

Well the context of your argument is off. Did you expect Rupp to suckerpunch someone 4 times in the face for no reason? Like I don't understand what you expected Rupp to do in 2 minutes of play. I understand why Carkner did what he did, but Rupp was not in the same situation. Hope Rupp scores a goal for ya next game

the guys name is Chris Neil.

So Carkner pounds away on our hottest goal scorer -- fine, that's payback. Then Boyle has to face Neil as a bonus? Rupp was out there with Neil twice after that, not even a whisper.

you Rupp's ****boy?

Ohhhhh you mean Chris Neil who played 14 minutes last night? Get your **** straight because your rambling on and going nowhere. Everyone wanted BOYLE not Rupp. Boyle did what he did to Karlson and they wanted him to feel it, like do you even watch these games?

Not even a whisper from Rupp? Maybe you weren't watching when there was a timeout and Richards was on the bench and getting mouthed by Konopka, Rupp was standing on the far side of the ice beside our bench making sure Konopka wasn't doing what he wanted.

And no I'm not even a huge Rupp fan, but you ******** on him isn't warranted, maybe turn your attention to someone else who deserves it.

Officiating is horrible.

Rangers got screwed, but we should be able to score more than 2 goals on Anderson.

He's just not that good, and their defense isn't either.

Thats a joke right? You do realize he put up 50 points in his second season? Talk about overreaction.

Yeah, and conditioning isn't his problem. Not having a second gear is a separate issue from conditioning. He could use some Barb Underhill training for sure, but the reason he's not playing well right now is all mental. He's not confident and hesitation has creeped into his game. Now he's over thinking things and trying not to make mistakes instead of just playing and letting his intuition and anticipation take over. When he's at his best, like most players, he's quick and decisive with the puck and constantly setting his line mates up for quick strike scoring chances.

And Salvador got 10 minutes during the line brawl versus the Devils.

We are consistently ****ed by the refs. It's absurd.

The best one this season was easily Cory Perry during the 2nd game of the season. Fights someone on the Ranger (Dubinsky maybe?) and didn't have his jersey strapped down, meaning he should have gotten a misconduct. And the ****ing piece of **** ref decided to randomly give them matching roughing calls, when it clearly was a fight, so no misconduct.

It's hard to win hockey games when you're playing poorly, which the Rangers are, have the refs against you, and have that good 'ole Rangers luck.

Looks like Stepan is going to skate with the fourth line tomorrow.

I disagree, his foot speed has gotten progressively worse as the season has worn on. He has hard time skating quickly to the gaps. He takes too long to react and I don't think its as much of a mental problem as it is athleticism. You could say its effecting him mentally, but its the "chicken or the egg" argument.

I am not saying we should get rid of him for his performance this playoff. Its what he does to develop in the offseason that should be deciding factor.

He didn't come into camp prepared this season, he has to show major athletic improvement the following one.

Anisimov can play center, as well.

We still have yet to win an Overtime Playoff game since 2007, We have lost like what 5 or 6 straight? It is starting to get really frustrating.

I know but he has been one of our best players so far. I don't want to throw him around the lineup.

Dubi maybe? But that would mean he wouldn't be playing with Boyle.

Maybe they're putting Dubi/Ani/Cally together? That would free up Feds/Boyle/Prust to stay together and leave Step as the odd man out.

That would probably be the smartest thing to do.

To be honest though I don't like how Prust plays with Boyle lately. He always seems to make really bad passes. I perfer Prust with Rupp.

would love to see kreider play regardless of hagelin suspension. we don't need scott either. rupp is good as is over last two games. if you go back and watch game 2, pay attention to rupp after whistles, discreetly getting his stick on opponents and irritating them. he is a pro doing what needs to be done fighting or not-

i was most unimpressed with richards roughing penalty - he should know better. torts prolly chewed him out for it. i expect some of the vets along with dubs to have an excellent game 3.
