This isn't last year, and Shero knew the D was bad this year and didn't tighten it up at the deadline.

Defense wins in the playoffs and this team has had a terrible one this year stretching through more than one defender.

Not that Asham should have done what he did, but that was to the shoulders, not the face.

Look again man. It was his upper chest. The little punch to Schenn's back when he was down was dirty, but the check wasn't.

Pens seem to look worse with every passing game. They gave up 17 shots that period, they werent that bad even in the horrific first 2 games. What happened to Bylsma's 2-1 game he was talking about? The pens are still not playing any defense.

******** the bed this early is the best thing for this team right now. If they can come back this game it will give them the confidence they need. Fluery can only get better (right?) and there is tons of time left.

I don't know if you're referring to that poster's track record on this board or not, since I do not recognize him. But, to be honest, this is Bylsma's third full season behind the helm and his fourth postseason. Compared to other coaches we've had in the past, Bylsma's been around for ages.

I agree, Bylsma lost the team.

This is embarrassing for the Pens, Shero HAS to do something. We need a better coach, and better defense.

It was a retaliation punch in the head. Intent to injure would have been of he had of slashed him in the head.

Fleury is worse than that 2006 Ottawa series, and that is saying something.

Go cheer for the Flyers or something since all you have been doing is spewing negative **** about the Penguins and praising the Flyers.

I was about the post the same exact thing, the only thing I can possibly think of is that he is tired. Not having a competent back-up goalie that can take a good amount of starts definitely looks like it took it's toll. The D has not helped, whatsoever.

Apparently you missed the Montreal series 2 years ago when they would get 11 shots a game and win 3-2

like you said, its not like there was just 1 guy that is playing poorly. he can't just rebuild the entire defense mid-season. There is no reason this roster should be this bad at defense. none.
