Michalek played that horribly. He just let Briere go straight to the net and turn it into a 2 on 1. Why was he going to cover Schenn on the boards instead of the guy going to the net?

Man, is this entertaining despite poor goaltending and overall defensive play...

Also, Voracek must've had some sort of epiphany in the Philly environment, never was so physical, emotional and chippy with the Jackets.

This is awesome how many fights and line brawls there have been already. Turning the clock back to a better era so far.

I wonder how these anti-fighting bleeding hearts in the media are handling things. James Duthie probably trying to shield his eyes as we speak.

Besides the first game of FLA-NJ all of the series have surpassed my expectations for entertainment. Game 2 of SJ-STL was awesome, especially all the animosity at the end. Roman Polak went beast mode in the fight with Justin Braun, that was insane.

I feel like I'm one of the few people that would rather watch a hockey game than the goonfest that is going on in Philly right now.

Game 2 was entertaining. This is lame.

Penguins are on the verge of it all falling apart. Schenn throws a great hit and Asham cross checks him in the face. 5 minute and a game misconduct for sure. Likely suspension.

Oh my god that was disgusting by Asham. Schenn with a huge clean hit on Martin and Asham goes Jesse Boulerice with the cross check to the face. Could easily have just cost his team the game depening on the penalty.

Schenn took a big run for that hit. Not saying he deserved a cross check in the throat, but he deserved to get smacked for sure.

What a beauty this game is turning into.

All just in the first period!!!

As bad as the asham play was, schenn really only has one objective on that play, and it's not to get the puck.

He leaves his feet, so I'm happy he got 2 mins.

Just need Fleury and Bryzgalov to come out and fight each other.

This might be the worst goaltending display through 2 games and 1 period I've ever seen. Oh my goodness.

Not really seeing much leadership on the Penguins roster right now. Playing like a bunch of pushovers. So much character on the Flyers

Edit: LOL at this commercial about the Leafs Stanley Cup drought. Molson is trolling the Leafs.

Are you kidding? Schenn left his feet, hence the penalty.
The announcers were all screaming clean, but you cant take everything they say as truth. I have tivo, so I rewound it to the view where they show his feet, and they definitely left the ground. You also can see the ref was planning to call a penalty before the Asham incident.

Meh, at least Crosby is trying. The glove push thing was hilarious (not sure if they showed that to you guys in Canada). Malkin needs to step the **** up though as well as all of their defense.

Fleury playing like garbage. Three goals of terrible rebounds.

Pens has to pull Fleury now.

They also gotta stop playing that 2-1-2 forecheck as they have been getting killed by Philly since game one with a million 3 on 2 going the other way. Philly knew exactly how to break it down.

I thought Bylsma would have learned after Game 1 and 2, but they are still using this same system that Philly has been feasting on.

Play a conservative forecheck like a 1-2-2, bait Philly to carry puck out and come thru the neutral zone, get some turn over there, the Pens have enough skill to create offense even if they don't use this aggressive forechecking system.

Agreed. The hockey in this playoffs has a very old school feel to it and i personally couldn't be happier about it. It seems like old time hate is back and seeingly came out of nowhere because the regular season in general was kind of tame.
Hopefully the Oilers can develop hate for some team eventually and stop being nice guys.

Flyers-Pens are the modern day Flames-Oil, haha. It'll be a long time until both the Oil and Flames hit the top of their cycle at the same time.

This is a really good game so far!
