MAFs true nature can no longer be denied. He simply isnt a very good goalie. The pens need a true first goalie in order to be competative. Now perhaps everybody can acknowledge that.
Yeah cause the 20 odd man chances per game have had nothing to do with it. I'm not saying Fleury's been good(20 friggin goals!!!) but everyone has crapped the bed whenever they're in the defensive zone.
I honestly don't know anything positive. I don't expect to see Neal or Asham the next game soooo...I don't know...if Jeffrey still injured? If not, he'll probably be in, so that'll be pretty cool.

Of course it had something to do with it, everybody sucked. But this doesnt mean that MAF is a good goalie. A great goaltender would never let in this many goals in a series, thats what great goalies do, even if they suck, the goalie can keep them in the game, MAF had a few great games during his cup run, but that seems to be an exception to the rule, which is that he is average, and sometimes terrible.
Look at lundqvist. Granted, this year the rangers have improved, but never forget that they have sucked really bad these last few years, and he was the sole reason they were competing for a playoff spot, and he always kept the games close and gave them a fighting chance, even when the defence was terrible. MAF isnt that type of goalie.
If/when the Pens lose in the playoffs this year, the window won't be closed. With the right moves next season they'll come back and have a fantastic, cap-caliber roster.
I kinda got a kick out of the Flyers acting performances after hits. I haven't seen anything like that since I stopped watching studio wrestling years ago.
'ozman' can go eat a dick. I don't disagree that the team is too arrogant. But this wasn't close to the Isles game last year. There was nothing out of the ordinary from most other hockey games. A scrum occurs and 2 fights break out? Hmmm, never saw that before. An opposing player cheapshots a defensless player, and our player goes after him with a crosscheck to the chest? That's unusual. A player takes a run at another player? Never heard of such a thing. Get real
A long offseason is good for this team. Good for Sid. Assuming Bylsma is around (most likely he will be) he has time to think long and hard about "our game". Shero has time to make plans, talk to to other GM's, talk to players like Orpik and Martin about there movement clauses, and just think up new ideas.
