The best current sabre??

I was wondering who you guys think is our best player or who is your favorite sabre?

The best I believe is Toni Looooodman for simple fact that we went 1-6 without him and 38-10-6 with him. Eh I could be wrong so prove it to me!!!

My favorite is definately Daniel Paille. Only 20 years old and is our future captain. The former captain of the Team Canada juniors which had the likes of MacArthur, Bergeron, Staal, Crosby when he was 16, Phaneuf, Barker, Getzlaf, Perry. He also has appeared in 12 games this year as a rookie and has 1 goal, 2 assists and a remarkable +5!!!!

Miller. Unquestionably, it's Briere if we're talking skaters. Loods is a helluva player, as is Tallinder -- but since coming back, I think Danny has proven his place in the pecking order.

Briere.

The point about Lydman is very valid but the best overall Sabre has to be Danny.

It's hard to compare forwards with goalies with defensemen..etc.

I'll just say that my favourite Sabre is #9, Derek Roy.

I don't like the term, "the best", but Briere is our most dangerous and talented player on any given night.

OT: Anyone else very impressed with Lydman's physical play? I mean the guy is becoming a physical force for us...did anyone see this coming? He's the closest thing we have to a stay-at-homer next to Mckee. I never knew he was that type of player when we traded for him.

Briere...30 pts in 28 games.Most dynamic player the Sabres had since the guy who's number we retired on March 3rd.

I see it, and it impresses me. But I think he's less of a stay-at-homer due to his fluid skating and ability to lead the breakout, a la Tallinder.

He's our key cog.
