What are we gonna do, start timing ourselves? You're not forced making 6h GDT's lol, it's your own will
I would much rather give playoff GDTs to someone who puts in effort (CH, for example) than someone who throws together a one-liner (Waffles, for example. No hate meant. I'm not a hater.)

No... but the point is people could put in a ton of effort and time and feel slighted that they aren't allowed to make a playoffs GDT because they haven't produced the same quantity.
Nobody's forcing someone to make 30 GDTs either instead of 12, it's your own will.

hater.
Those GDT's are made because someone didn't follow up on his commitment for a previously reserved GDT. Useless yes, but hey, what you gonna do. IT'S MOTHAH ****IN WAFFLES MAN!

hence the commitment smart ***...
you make 1 GDT at 6 hours
someone makes 10 GDT, 2h average. Gives the 6h person priority? I think not. Case closed.
We're sticking with what works for now, and we'll discuss a new way for next season during the summer

I don't get the bold at all, I am agreeing that we should reward commitment to GDTs, just that commitment isn't as simple as making the most GDTs.
I also never said someone who makes 10 GDTs at 2 hours each for a total of 20 hours is less deserving of priority than one guy who makes a single 6 hour GDT. I was suggesting that some people go to extra lengths on the few GDTs they make, and those people should also receive fair consideration for playoff GDTs.
It certainly isn't a case-closed decision, we haven't come to consensus.
For what it's worth, I'm not trying to change the system for this years' playoffs. Just suggesting we change it for future years.

You guys are all confused
When we originally brought up discussion for who'd get the playoff GDTs, the 'effort' argument was brought up, by myself, as a more fair alternative to consider all GDTs. But that was directed at future playoff years.
For this season, we've all agreed that we're sticking to the current 'quantity of GDTs' system, and we were asking you who got priority when posters had the same # of GDTs made, but different winning records.
