But not the Devils ...

If the Panthers win the only teams down 0-2 after two games will be the teams most had going to the SCF.

What do you mean by low seeds when comparing the Panthers and the Devils?

The Florida Panthers... literally a team made up of 4 lines composed of purely 3rd line players.

And it somehow works.

I won't complain until it's us they're beating.

Stephen Weiss and Fleischman are not third liners.. Steeger is a second liner on some teams and a third on others. They have a good group there.

I said the same thing about them when the season started, and the continued to add 2nd/3rd liners like Samuelsson, Sturm, Wolski.

I liken it to the San Francisco Giants from two seasons ago, loading up at the trade-deadline with a team full of above-average role players. They were stacked with mediocrity and fed off it.

To me, it's not that big, but it very much looks like Comic Sans...

The league used to have a list of divers(which the refs knew very well) and would give out fines.

Man, the CBC commentators are the hugest Canucks homers out there. Justin Williams drew a penalty to which they thought he dove and called him out on it. A minute later Kesler took a dive and they called it "a great play to fall down".

Every series is super chippy now except for Florida/New Jersey... only a matter of time.

By that, I mean seeds lower than the Flyers.

Kinda funny. The only 2 series that are 3-0 are the Flyers and Flyers west leading.

Kings East and Flyers West have been doing just fine

So, a little late with this, but during the last Caps game I saw something that made me convinced they won't be coming near a Cup this year; in the 1st period, Marchand took a shot on Holtby. Holtby fumbled with the rebound a little, and Marchand skated up to him and used his stick to try and knock the puck loose. Whistle blows, and OV skates up the scene. I think "Oh man, OV is gonna kick some big-nosed ass for harassing his goalie!" Instead, he skates right on by without even glancing at Marchand. Brouwer eventually came in and gave Marchand the most half-hearted of token shoves.

With that sort of attitude and lack of intensity I doubt the Caps go far. That's not what upsets and Cinderella stories are made of.
