Is Giroux ok?

I was at the game, after Talbot scored the 8th goal he did the 'skate by' the Flyers bench to catch high fives from everyone, who was standing.......except 1 guy, Giroux.

I know he did the post-game interview and said he was ok, but he looked really dazed after that hit, and the fact that he was so dizzy that he couldn't even stand up after Talbot scored is a little damn worrisome.

Has anyone heard anything else?

You never know until a day or two after... I really fear that we may be looking at another concussion to Giroux.

I don't think he's concussed I think he went to fix his helmet and lost his balance for a second.

I don't know, like I said the worrisome part for me is after Talbot scored he doesn't even stand up on the bench to congratulate him...just praying he is ok.

Sean Cout too

It looks like he went to fix his helmet then went to pick up his mouthpiece. That's when he bit it.

Go to about 2:35 for the Giroux hit

Not saying 100% he doesn't have a concussion but he did just take a hit from a guy who's 3 inches and about 20 lbs heavier then him. Also is looked like a lot of contact was made to the chest/abdomen area. He probably had the wind knocked out of him too.

This. He's fine.

If anyone is concussed, it's Couturier.

The thing that gets me is Cindy pushing G's head into the glass behind the net after one whistle and then pushing his head into the ice and giving him a couple of extra shots while he was down after their 'fight'. I expect it from some players, but he's missed enough time with concussions that there's no way he should be doing that to anyone - let alone someone who has also missed time with a concussion. Absolutely gutless. If any Flyer player did that to Cindy, there would be a league wide backlash. I thought Aaron Ward's word in the 1st intermission to describe his actions today was appropriate - 'weasely'.

Giroux's face is plastered all over the NHL.com league leaders page right now. I really hope it remains that way.

The only way to properly get REVENGE for this is to concuss Crosby so badly he has to retire next season.

Dirty hypocrite, headhunting people and then whining about her concussion. GOLF and RETIRE, Cindy, golf and retire.

Hope someone takes her head right off in next game.

Yeah no. A good way to get back at them is to embarrass them in game 4 and send them home early, get rest for round 2.

Ur right.

Hope that WIP interview is correct and G and Couts are ok.

We will eliminate Pens for sure, my biggest worry is that in the last minute of GAme 4 they'll injure someone important.

BTW
One question:

With 5-10 mins left in a 7-4 game and signs that things were out of control, couldnt we have sat Briere and Giroux and some of our best players to avoid gettign them hurt?

Then again we have so many good players spread thru out our lineup, it's hard to think of even three forwards who are of lesser talent or importance.

Seriously. Rinaldo would be one ..who else?

And when JVR returns there'll be even less.

I did think later in the game they had the grinders out there, I saw a lot of Talbot and I thought I saw a lot of Rinaldo until he got the double.

About 2min before cout and then G were attacked, I told my buddy they should be on the bench. Then the nightmare came true.

I initially thought the same. but on his way back to the bench he looks disoriented and spins at the blue-line as if players are skating by him......but nobody was around him.

They were both on the bench later during the game. If they were showing signs of concussion they wouldn't be out there.

Giroux is on ice for the "next shift" when the Adams Hartnell fight happens.

The puck was fired his way when he spun at the blue line.

oh damn you're right, I have no idea how I missed that. I guess Giroux is fine after that if he can see the puck whiz by him. Maybe I'm the one with the concussion lol

Yeah, but you can't predict that Neal would start running guys down.

Personally , i would not be surprised if Giroux got messed up by that hit. He did not look good afterward, and people who were at teh game have reported that Giroux was clearly dazed. Fortunately we have a few days off to evaluate him.
