sign forward Kristian Huselius and with that are ready for the 2012-13 season. Our lines:

Ray Whitney -- Martin Hanzal -- Radim Vrbata
Steve Ott -- Antoine Vermette -- Shane Doan
Kristian Huselius -- Matthew Lombardi -- Mikkel Boedker
Raffi Torres -- Boyd Gordon -- Lauri Korpikoski

Gilbert Brule, Paul Bissonette

Rusty Klesla -- Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Derek Morris -- Keith Yandle
Adrian Aucoin -- David Rundblad

Chris Summers

Mike Smith
Jason LaBarbera

OUTIN
Daymond LangkowMatthew Lombardi
Taylor PyattSteve Ott
Kyle ChipchuraKristian Huselius
Michal RozsivalChris Summers
David SchlemkoDavid Rundblad

We wanted to add some scoring skill, toughness, and to open up spots for our young defensmen.

Matt Lombardi had tremendous success here before signing in Nashville as a free agent two years ago, and we believe playing again in Dave Tippet's style gets him back to that level of play when he scored 19-34-53.

Steve Ott played six seasons for Tippett in Dallas and brings us some nastiness from a skill player we've been lacking the last several seasons. He's also an effective penalty killer and contributor on the power play.

Kristian Huselius has had some injury problems recently but we believe he can bounce back from those and return to a 50-60-point a year player. Like Ott, Kristian adds another scorer to what has been a weak power play for us.

Chris Summers was brought up a few times last year and showed he is ready for full-time duty in the NHL. He played an effective shutdown role when he got the opportunity to play, and showed tremendous hockey sense.

David Rundblad still has some work to do on his defensive zone play, but we love what he brings offensively. We're convinced working on lines with Adrian Aucoin, Rusty Klelsa and Derek Morris, David can become an effective defender. And everyone knows the tremendous offensive potential this kid has. He'll be another big addition to our power play.

We had a tremendous draft bringing in D Slater Koekkoek (1-19), F Scott Kosmachuk (2-49), F Tanner Richard (3-80), and F Seth Griffith.

Expected to start off the year playing at our AHL affiliate in Portland are forwards Andy Miele, Brendan Shinniman, Scott Arnold, and Chris Brown. On defense it's Michael Stone, Connor Murphy, and Maxim Goncharov whom we expect to anchor our back-end. In net Mark Visentin, Mike Lee, and Louis Domingue should provide us with solid goaltending for at least the next decade.

All-in-all we're happy with the team we'll ice on our limited budget, and believe we'll better in all aspects of the game. We're looking forward to returning to the playoffs for the fourth straight year.

The Leafs have wrapped up their moves for this off-season.

FORWARDS

We managed to address our needs for size and physical play in our forward group by adding Dustin Penner, who we think could find himself at home playing centre ice between Kessel and Lupul. Cal Clutterbuck will add a level of grit this team has lacked, and we feel our bottom 6 lines are going to be combination of physical play and solid scoring punch. We moved out Tim Connolly via waivers, as well as moved forwards such as Matthew Lombardi in order to get back into the draft in the middle rounds, and Clarke MacArthur for an extra 2nd and 4th as Kadri will now get his chance full time in a scoring role in the NHL. The acquisition of Matt D'Agostini gives us further options up front at a very low price, which has us very excited at the different possibilities that are out there for us. While we held back on adding veterans on our forward ranks, we feel the addition of Clutterbuck gives us a guy who will lead by example which is infectious on a team like this.

DEFENCE

We moved out Schenn to acquire Backstrom and Clutterbuck (as well as a 3rd round pick which turned into Devin Shore), as well as Franson in exchange for Rakell. We like the return we've gotten for these players, and have filled the holes left behind with a spot for Korbinian Holzer who has earned the right to play in the big leagues, as well as the FA signing of Greg Zanon who should bring solid, responsible defensize zone play and settle things down out there, while also bringing a solid veteran presence to the dressing room.

GOALTENDING

We've added our #1 in Backstrom, who is going to be able to give Reimer time to learn and refine his technique to become our goalie of the future. We feel this position is now solid for the first time in several years.

PROSPECT DEPTH

We're thrilled with the work we've done in our prospect pool. We've added high end talent and size to our forward corps in the form of Radek Faksa and Jarrod Maidens, while also adding finesse and skill in the form of Richard Rakell, AJ Michaelson, and Devin Shore. We also added a premier defensive prospect in Matthew Dumba, which has us thrilled as we look down the road to see a potential blue line of Gardiner, Dumba, Blacker, Holzer, Gunnarsson and Phaneuf. In goal, we've acquired a talent in Tyler Beskorowany who we believe is a vast upgrade over Jussi Rynnas, while also adding depth in Jake Paterson who may be the steal of the draft between the pipes.

Ok all, sorry, been away for some family stuff yesterday. Now that I'm at work I can likely make some progress on some of the player free agents.

Kings have received a offer for Mike Richards, nothing is done but the offer is good enough for us to consider it.

Getzlaf To Montreal

Ryan Getzlaf

Max Pacioretty
Yannick Weber

It was very hard to lose Max but adding a top line center that we lacked for years is a chance we couldn't pass up

Was I supposed to assume the rest of the trade? Is there really a reason why I should not veto this?

confirm

We are very happy to have acquired Max and Yannick. They are both incrediblely talented players; Max up front with all the firepower he bring and Yannick from the back end with his right-handed shot. Yannick although he was injured for part of the year, was 3rd in scoring for d-men on Montreal and Max had a career high 33 goals and 32 assists adding up to 65 pts in 79 games. They are both great young players that will be important players for us for a long time.

We'd like to thank Ryan for his time here and for being our captain. He had a bad year, but he'll turn it around. We wish him the best in Montreal.
