The Kings would be nuts to trade anyone from their top 6 outside of Gagne. Even he could have a nice rebound season however playing next to Richards and Carter, both ex teammates. Williams also works so well with Kopitar and Brown. I think the Kings should make a huge run at Suter next year instead of Parise, they definitely have the cap room for it.
So much for Vancouver... they will get a win if lucky but LA has a 3-0 game lead! Add Pittsburgh to the list of teams being down 3-0 and one thinks the regular season is meaningless when the playoffs start..
After that last pens/flyers game and even the sens game....boy am I happy the sabres aren't in it this year....wed be 99% rochester amerks by game 3....
So who still thinks LA may be looking to trade Brown this offseason?

Can we just get through one freaking playoff game on this board without it getting back to how the Sabres couldn't handle the playoffs? Jesus, someone needs to bump the negativity thread so people have their place to incessantly complain and argue the Sabres wouldn't be able to compete.

Actually, I don't think that was his point. I took it as not wanting to watch a frustrating series with our guys getting cheapshotted and injured left and right.

Is Quick really playing as well as the stats imply? Seems like he's just shutting Vancouver down completely.
If that's the case, I absolutely see LA going to the finals.

It is tiring. Apparently people forget that the Sabres did a good job hanging with the big, bad Flyers last year for 6 1/2 games, at least physically. Obviously you'd have preferred to win the damn series, but these soft, mushy forwards stood up in a big way when they had to.
I think the Sabres could have done a lot better than the Pens in this first round. Hell I think any of the other 29 teams would put out a better performance than the Pens in that series. Talk about an overrated team.
They did well before Crosby returned, and then went on a tear after he returned. I think they had just enough time to decide they were shoo-ins for the Cup final and get mentally weak. Add in that they are a whiny group of self-anointed superstars and you have a recipe for not only a 1st rd upset, but a complete mental meltdown which they have displayed so far.
I couldn't be happier with 1st rd knockouts of both Pitt and Vancouver. I actually am a Canucks fan to some extent but jerks like Burrows and Lapierre are fun to watch when they lose, just like Criesby.
Neal scheduled to have two separate hearings tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about it. He definitely deserves a suspension, but at the same time, I'd really like to see Philly take a few big runs at him

Philly has no reason to. Unless Pittsburgh strings some wins together, the series is all but over. Lavi's not going to want any of his guys going after him when they're up 3-0.
