The Kings scored an empty net goal in both of the first two games. Each of the three games has really only been settled by one goal. The goaltenders are playing as well as anybody could ask them to, but the skaters just haven't been up to par. With a bit of luck and a few good bounces, this series could have been much closer than it is.
The Pens have been able to score in their games, but the opposition has pummeled them on the score sheet. The team has fallen flat on its face. It's such a surprise, considering they were the favorites going into the series. They looked so promising during the regular season.
I think the Penguins are the bigger shock. The Canucks appear to be losing based on great goaltending from Quick, bad luck, and perhaps disappointing play from their stars. The Penguins have been able to score, but they've given up leads and have completely collapsed after the first period of each game.
