NHL Tonight should be taken off the air. They keep showing highlights from PIT/PHI and DET/LA, complete with dozens of questions to the coaching staffs. All they do is show the score of the Panthers game, show some of the DeBoer interview, and talk to Campbell for a minute. Can't even show the highlights. Ridiculous.

Edit: Solid job by NBC Sports though. Full highlights and some Dineen interview.

Just wanted to pop in and say good game tonight. Not as intense as the Phi/Pitt game, but I felt you guys played a good game from top to bottom, and except for the hiccup in the early third, it was all cats.

I am on your bandwagon.

Can't ask for more out of this season -make the playoffs, win one game at home. That was all I wanted.

We're not as exciting because we don't have crybaby Crosby trying to fight everyone and the goalies aren't playing like ECHL rookies.

Why is somebody complaining about Flash scoring an empty netter in the series talk thread? I really don't understand.

because there's no sportsmanship in what we do unless we lose the game. that's sporty.

Even disregarding the 2 goals, Weiss seemed to play with more urgency last night. Heck, he even threw a nice hit.

OK, Stephen, you can stay now.

Solid play. Well 2 1/2 periods of solid play. I like it.

I want to see the Panthers much more physical up front though. Although with Barch scratched and Upshall seeing only a few shifts a game, not sure where it's going to come from.

Much nicer waking up to a win in the morning. Feeling good after this. We can stick with this team if we do what we did that game. We've seen all year that this team can stick with anybody in the league if they play the way we know they can. It's just a matter of getting it out of them.

Weiss coming up big time clutch. Freakin' love it.

I love to be proven wrong in the manner Weiss did. And also Theo. Way to go boys!!

I can't believe Kovy got third star. He was -1, and Flash blocked his shot on the way to EN.

Why didn't they give at least the third star to Theo? Typical anti panther bs.

well all the Toronto fans are back to offering us stud defenseman Komisarik for Weiss. Gotta take that gift of a trade right?

Interesting stat. Of the 11 goals scored so far, 9 have gone into the shoot once end, and only 2 into the shoot twice, and one of them was an EN. If you want to see goals, looks like buying cheaper seats at shoot once is a better deal.....

And I swear it seemed like that in the regular season too. I'm at shoot twice end, seems like I never see goals, especially by us.

I know it sounds kinda cheesey, but I swear that time just kinda slowed down as I threw my rat on to the ice for a playoff win. Almost brought a whiskey tear to my drunken eye. I have no voice. I've even converted my non-sports enjoying girlfriend into a die hard Panthers fan. Also, she made a hilarious home-made Panthers shirt before te game that just says:

PANTHERS
RULE
YOU
SUCK

written with a magnum sharpie across the front. gave people a good laugh.

was also the loudest panthers game I have ever attended by a longshot.

was nice to briefly met a few of you (adam graves + KWgoon off the top of my head) with my brother Holy Jokinen. Was a great night for a long time fan. Hope you all have a beautiful day.

Just bought my tickets for game 5 with the family. A graduation gift to myself... I'll be sitting in the Lexus club level!!!!! So pumped for this... School is going to move at a crawl all week.

But first, get ready for a road win boys. We need to walk into NJ and steal one and get home ice back!

Weiss admitted he sucked game one. He said his head wasnt screwed on right.

We will need the game 2 weiss the rest of the series to have any chance.

Gotta' admit, I said the same thing. Especially when you think, our best scorer could be in the minors. Great future ahead.

here is my issue with the panthers play in game 1 and the vast majority of game 2 last night. We are not playing good hockey in the neutral zone. too many failed passes allow us to get nothing going offensively especially 5 on 5. On the other end we need to have way more defensive bodies in the neutral zone and hitting devils players. Too many blue line to blue line tape to tape passes for the devils. Also i would like to see some physicality in the neutral zone-Dont allow the ****ing guy to walk into our zone uninterrupted-****ing annihilate him before he gets to our line.

The neutral zone is where this series will be won or lost and we have to do a better job at controlling it.

Weird. Defensively, I thought the Panthers were doing a great job of disrupting Jersey's attempts to enter our zone. At least for the majority of game 2 and especially when we were on the PK.
