We should have said Boyle had a concussion.

Well, not really, but I'm a little upset. Oh well. I just hope we beat these guys on the scoreboard.

Also don't really want to see Scott and see this try to turn into an arms race.

No one will fight Scott and he can't be out there on the ice enough to be a real deterrent. Especially with Carkner for sure gone for at least one game, there's just no point. Don't get caught up in it, go out and win the game on the scoreboard, not the fight sheet

I'm so proud of Brian Boyle. The guy's a Ranger.

To the core.

Just shut them up on the scoreboard. It's the best way to proceed. We goon it up the league/refs will go overboard against us.

Unfortunately this is why many of us were overly concerned with the lack of powerplay all season(s) long... If we had a way to make teams pay, they wouldn't take liberties. 5 min major in the first and 2 ****ing shots on goal are what brought us to this.

Technically Carkner didn't fight anyone else. Scott could do the same with Spezza, Alfie or Karlsson?

I'd say go for it, or at least take out Neil, but I don't really want to see another 5 minute penalty kill. It's just askign for trouble and like I said, trying to win the battle with your fists instead of on the scoreboard

ADVERSITY OVERCOME WILL MAKE THIS ALL THE SWEETER

The Rangers are still the better team AND now they are pissed.

Honestly, how many of us were just seeing this matchup as somewhat uninspired compared to meeting the Caps or the Devils? I seriously dislike this Sens team right now.

The Coach, Alfie, Karlson, Neil, Carkner, their fans, their HF posters. I have developed a dis-like for them all. I imagine the Rangers feel even more insensed by all this ********.

So go out there and win every shift. That's the best revenge.

It's the small time, small town people behind the scenes with biases and an axe to grind. There is a lot of bad blood behind the scenes, imo. I could sit here and play connect the dots all day long, but we all know what we're dealing with here.

If you EVER had any doubts, if this does not confirm them....then I just don't know what to say to you.

Another thing, if another Rangers fan comes on here and says we don't need a player(s) who can give serious beat downs and bring major intimidation factor.....I think I'll just puke.

I understand these guys need to have some semblance of a game and skating ability, but the Rangers should make this a major priority....which they already have.

Guys like McIlrath and Noreau can't get to the big squad soon enough. Neil should have had had his lunch served to him more than once the other night.

Projected #NYR lines as projected in #Senators room show Fedotenko on top line with Richards and Gaborik and Kreider with Boyle and Prust.

I like Kreider with Boyle and Prust. It gives him some people to look after him in his first game in case they make runs at him.

Feds deserves it and Brandon and Boyle will protect the kid while he adjusts to the speed of the game.

They waste everyones time with all of the BS about concussion protocol but. From: @KatieStrangESPN

#NYR Alfredsson confirmed he did sustain concussion. Given accepted protocol, seems odd that he'd be available. Called it a game-time dec

what happened to players having to sit for at least 7 days with a confirmed concussion?

I've gotta say, I find most of the comments about Alfredsson that I'm seeing in this thread to be pretty embarrassing. The guy is a great player and a class act and I'm happy he's ok. Is the problem that he left the game on Saturday night and is back for this one? Is that how he "faked it"? Please.

That said, we are very justified in any and all vitriol we spewed towards Shanny and the NHL. Talk about embarrassing. It's like they are trying to not be taken seriously.

Let's hope the Rangers pull it together in spite of it all. Winning feels that much better when you're beating the league too...

Hm. This Hagelin suspension thing could be a double edged sword for Ottawa. It could throw our team chemistry off long enough for them to put us on the bring of elimination. However at the same time Kreider could also come in and light up Craig Anderson and be a key in this series for us.

I don't see why he would need protection. Let them try and chase him down to hit him. Hopefully they'll take themselves out of the play.

If I was Kreider, I'd look to make a hit early on and maybe piss off the Sens a little so they look to hit him back. It's the best way to get in the game and hopefully make things happen.
