All hail the hardest shot in the WHL!! Nice coming out party for the 17 year old tonight, let the country see what Brandon fans have seen for the last 14 months....
Some "scouts" on this board have claimed they have never had Pulock "wow" them, well, I guess that changed tonight?
Sometimes I'll check out Brandon highlights to see what Stone's doing, Pulock's clapper is lethal.

Well, that's basically directed at me...as I have said that exact comment 4-5 times.
I've never claimed the kid didn't have a great shot. That, and his mobility are his two best attributes IMO.
With that being said, he still had 2-3 bad plays in his own zone in regards to blown coverage or simple turnovers. It's typical to see it though from a kid his age. Great offensive tools, still a work in progress in his own zone.
I'm not doubting that he will end up as a top 15 pick in 2013, just saying that he has holes in his game.
But yes, his shot does have that WOW factor. Even if it's not 95+mph, as was claimed by a poster on here 2-3 weeks ago.
He's 2013 eligible
He was injured and taken out tonight, hit from behind by Eberle in Moose Jaw
He'd be a dynamite 7th d-man to play on the PP, as they did with Tavares/Ellis their first years
pretty awesome to see that the 2013 draft is going to have so many talented forwards (Mackinnon, Cammarata, Erne, Shinkaruk, Lazar, Monahan, Rankin, Duclair, Barkov, Fasching, Motte, etc) and yet still have probably the two top dmen drafted in the past few years Jones and Pulock.
I would take both Jones and Pulock over every single dmen eligible for the 2012 draft right now.
Pulock is something special to see, I cant believe this kid will have 3 full seasons under his belt already by draft time,

Ya havng a great year again, the thing I enjoy is that knowing him from before and still now, he has a great head on his as well. Isn't cocky, is a great team guy, great in the community and where he is from. His family is strong and great people as well.
Can't wait to see how his future goes, only thing that may hurt him is the extra year in the dub where his skills can be critiqued by scouts another year longer.
Kid is putting up amazing numbers, can't believe he isnt draft eligible till 2013.
Is he getting significant PP time with Pouliot? Rutkowski?
No, because he doesn't play on Portland.

Saw you comment about watching Shinkaruk, too. Do you have the WHL package by chance?

I agree with that. Pulock is going to be a minute eating, +/- machine. His ability to put up offense while keeping pucks out of his own net is extraordinary.

I usually get to see some games live every year, I havent gone to the west yet, but I might by the WHL playoffs.
Yes I get to see a ton of WHL games on Fox Sports Net. Its usually at least 2-3 games a week which is pretty flippin awesome, and they usually role an American team in every game. With what I have seen on tv I am amazed at Shinkaruk and his talent.
I only have watched him play live once and that was last saturday against the OK. I was really impressed with his poise, he looks like a 19yo out there. Very good first pass, plays the PP and seemed alright in his own end. Fluid skater but he didnt blow me away. Seems to have a solid frame. As of right now he looks like first round material.
Im sure you have seen him play a lot so ill take your word for it. How much better is he than Roy in your opinion?
Miles.
Don't see Roy as a top 45 talent, really. Atleast at this point. Moves the puck pretty well and is rugged and more physical than Pulock is, but I don't see a ton of upside with him.
Pulock is more polished the Roy. Roy was not playing organized hockey till he was 14.
Both are top notch passers. Pulock has a much better slapshot. NHL caliber shot.
Roy needs to work on his skating and strength. Guy is just a string bean right now.
Roy is much more a riverboat gambler then Pulock although he has toned that down somewhat this year.
Pulock is 6'1 and a solid 200 pounds. Roy is 6'3 170. Roy has the Frame to really bulk up. Big wide shoulders. I hope they have him do some power skating this summer to work on his first step speed.
I have no doubt Pulock will be a top 10 pick next year. Too poised not to be. Roy will more that likely go in the 15 to 25 range. He is more of a project pick then Pulock so some team that can afford to wait on him will select him around them.
