Just my take.
That's a good point actually. If we did sign Suter as well then who could he be paired with? Daley or Goose?

This is a good time to see how committed the new owner is to winning. The team has the money sign Parise. I see some talk about Richards. Forget about the NYR, Brad went to the highest bidder, and so will Parise. As for Suter, I believe, we could sign him as well. May need a trade or 2, but it can be done. I, like everyone else thinks 4 years and no playoffs is long enough.

Really, really doubt Suter signs here. And there's absolutely no way we sign them both, unless we ship out Ribeiro, Morrow, and Robidas all before July 1st, which isn't going to happen either.

Goligoski I would assume. Suter is a triggerman and he needs Weber to be that cannon from the point. He can get a similar version in Goligoski, but Goligoski's defense will hurt the look of Suter's game.

Another example is Seabrook. In Keiths best year, Seabrook looked like a legitimate number one defensemen. Now that Keith has been struggling, Seabrook really doesn't look any better than a #2 or strong #3.

I say break the bank for Parise.. He's done it in all the levels possible and is still a reasonably young. And being a Yank couldn't hurt to raise the noise in Texas so give him 5 years/whatever he wants..

5 years doesn't get Parise. It'll probably take 6 at the very least and most likely 7-8 years.

Exactly. I'd jump for joy if it were only 5 years.
