Sounds like a great pick with our 2nd if he is there. Size, speed, skill and an edge to his game.

I wouldnt say he is fast, but he isnt slow either. He is big, physical, and dirty, with good hockey sense and decent hands.

They don't all have to be barn burners. As long as he can keep up with the play.

How dirty is he though? Is it just chippy stuff or is he going to go off his rocker and throw an ugly elbow and potentially ruin someones career?

Either way, he's a good pick. At least we know he wont be elbowing our players.

He can keep up with the play.

He is every bit as dirty as his dad.

Or Claude Lemieux.

He is a dirty son of a *****.

But we could use some of that imo.

The funny thing about it, is he gets away with it pretty much all the time.

He has already been suspended twice this year, despite only playing a third of a season.

We could use some of it, but I donno if we can use a player who is going to get suspended multiple times a year. Hrmm... I donno now haha.

Thanks for the info!

I dont think he has the offensive instincts to be as good as Hartnell or Claude but I would be happy to see him selected with our 2nd round pick.

Let Couturier be a good example that there isn't always that big a drop off in the talent level at the top of the draft. Those posters that dumped all over him last year were basically full of crap.

I never got down on Couturier last year and was amazed he dropped that far. Call me stupid but I would have taken Couturier above RNH last year. Of course I was a Larsson backer for the #1 pick as well so I'm doubly dumb I guess.

I think all 3 will turn out solid for their clubs but I certainly have no complaints from what I've seen of RNH so far... and I really like his character and humbleness... he seems like a truly great person above and beyond being a great hockey player.

I thought the top 5 was RNH Larsson Landeskog Hamilton and Couturier.

Those were my top 5 and I stand by them. Huberdeau was 6th but im sure someone will say im an idiot for having Hamilton ahead of him. I still take the 6'4" defenceman that has 72 points.

I was really surprised the Isles or Jets didn't take Couturier. But that doesn't happen all the time.

Looks like team Canada doesn't know what they are doing. His great playoffs saw him draft all the way to 12th for Craig.

Craig Button's list is completely asinine. Why does this guy have a job talking about prospects in the media?

He put up less points in fewer games than he had last year with an astonishing 29 differential in plus/minus. This year he was -14 and majority of his goals were scored on the powerplay. He also didn't show enough offence at the WJC against better competition. Yet, everyone has him rated as a 1st rounder because he models his game after Mike Richards and Ryan Kesler.

New Craig's List...

http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=49649

He has Grigorenko at 14 and Murray at 12, haha. Somehow Murray's strong playoffs dropped him.

Well he had Murray at 10 and Grigorenko at 7 last time, so not Too surprising given he seems utterly confused.

Just polling here - it's unlikely that Murray actually drops to 10 or 12, right? Because we don't have the assets to trade for another top 5 pick that we're willing to give up, but we surely have the assets to get a no. 10 pick and get this guy, right?!
