I'd put the blame on Marleau for that goal, and then Pavelski. I wouldn't put Demers at fault there at all.

Blame Colin White. Everybody wins.

Well it seems everyone has a different scapegoat. I think we can all agree that all three could have done a better job.

Some of those Blues fans are so stubborn. Even with video evidence, they can't look at anything objectively.

Wow. No wonder their fans have a warped view of what happened last night.

It would be funny to see McLellan gather everyone around for a speech:

"Now on the 2nd goal, sure almost every player made a mistake but one player's play was very egregious...Colin White. You have got to do better than that. You let your teammates, especially Marleau, down."

I'm not too concerned about all the extracurricular activities. Galiardi certainly deserved a penalty for the hit on McDonald, but the game was effectively over by then. Let's face it, the Sharks were not going to come back from down 2-0 with 4 minutes left against that defense and goalie. This is the type of stuff that happens in the playoffs. When the game is basically out of hand and something borderline goes down, it will get nasty. It will all be water under the bridge come Game 3, at least as long as the game is close. Both teams were involved in borderline incidents, but the difference was that the Blues got away with more, which was likely a result of being at home. Ken Hitchcock is probably drilling that into his young players right now. If the Blues get caught up in trying to beat the Sharks with their fists, especially in San Jose, this series will be over quickly. I expect Game 3 to be much like Game 1; very physical, very intense, but none of the extracurricular stuff. The Blues are too well-coached to make the mistake of putting the Sharks' PP on the ice because they lost their cool. Or so I think.

Key #1 for game 3 is to not put the puck in your net within the 1st couple minutes of the game.

Sharks should sit TJ and add another Dman and put Burns on the wing since that's where he spends most of his time anyways lol.

Put in Winchester and have him goon it up if necessary. The Blues do need to pay for their crap though.

So last time we played these guys st home: no havlat, and no head coach. Will it play out differently?

Interesting that Hitchcock instantly made changes after a close loss. Does Tmac make any changes? Doesn't seem likely.

Would like to see:

Pavs-Thornton-couture
Clowe-marleau-havlat
Wingels-desjardins-Winnik
Winchester-handzus-galiardi

I would go with Winchester instead of Moore.

If Moore can't go, I'd want Winchester in also. He's the only one out of the extras that is a competent cycler at this stage. Move Winnik up to the third pivot and Winchester-Desjardins-Wingels should be fine.

We also have seen Winchester enough to know he's a mediocre 4th liner offensivly too. Unless his developement jumped a ton and he finally realized "Hey, I'm 6'5, maybe I should actually try using that!" Which is possible, so we shall see.

He has been one of our best FA signings this year. Surprisingly good offensively. Most all of us fans were pissed about the signing but he proved everyone wrong, he is worth the money. He's by no means an elite 4th liner but he does what he needs to do, which is why I'm confused why he hasn't played the last few games.
Desi is a good fighter from everything I have heard from Worcester and it's not like the Blues have some super tough guys so Wingels would work too.

The only thing keeping Reaves from being viewed as a elite tough guy is a short stay in the NHL and the fact that he's more useful to us actually playing, and has shown solid discipline. He's gone Polak strength (well, next to Polak strength) with more polish.
