WHAT!?!?!?

The guy is playing his own game out their and its absolutely frightening with such high stakes. Doesn't know who to cover for defensively, when to make a line change, how to battle for the puck, etc.

May not burn us....in fact he might have the gwg for all we know...but this experiment is dangerous as all hell.
aka, he shares some similarities with gaborik

Bickel played 3 minutes that period which, for these playoffs with this much special teams is an unusually high number.

I'd say its bc Girardi is tired except he played half the period.

What else? Well, Henrik continues his good form, Kreider showing the tools we drafted him for but looking, in my opinion like a rookie playing his first game with little to no chemistry with his linemates. Not a lot of click there.

Not a reflection on Chris, but look for Stepan to jump this game.

Thank god we'd play an American team in the 2nd round. This series has just reminded me how obnoxious Canada can be when it comes to hockey. Terrible refs, atrocious crowd...just mind-boggling.

Kreider was just okay.. He needs to be more active, to much standing around, hes fast for a reason, he better use it!

Its his first NHL game, and a playoff game at that. I wouldn't have put him on the first line but he has been good

They had some good chances, but overall I'm not very satisfied with that period.

Kreider has played 4 minutes in his NHL career and people are criticizing him. This place never ceases to amaze me.

There is no point in expecting anything different from the refs. They should test it out and see about getting away with some of it themselves. Seriously relaxed standards, forget about taking the high road on holding and interference.

Can't disagree with that. He looks uncomfortable, which is about what I was expecting.

Don't know who said "we look good" but I think you're very wrong. Getting beat to the puck, can't maintain any pressure...

Swap Kreider with Stepan?
Kreider looks overwhelmed. I only caught the second half of the first period, but he didn't look good.

At work and cant follow the game super close so I have a question:
Was Kreider playing the whole period on the 1st line? Thought i saw him with Stepan on the 4th there in the end of the period?

Bad ice helps the Senators.

This Bryan Hayward is so in the bag for Ottawa it's not even funny. Could the bias be any more blatant?

It's also obvious that Ottawa is going to be allowed to do almost anything to keep a Ranger from getting to a puck, as well as be allowed to run Lundqvist.

Rangers will be LUCKY to win this series. Repeat, LUCKY.

Step played a shift on the stop line with CK/Gabby because Richards was on the PK.
