In light of Montreal abandoning the trap style, Zednik's game has improved a fair deal, hence his trade value has risen. For Edmonton, they get a scoring winger that has to be considered an upgrade over Radek Dvorak, and should flourish under Edmonton's style. For Montreal, they get the highest valued defenseman Edmonton has that is considered disposable, as Pronger, Bergeron, and even Matt Greene are untouchable. Staios would be a good fit alongside Souray, as he would easily be an upgrade over Dandenault. He's virtually the same cost ($1.615M as opposed to Dandy's $1.7M) as well. Edmonton has defensemen to burn, so we could use a guy like Staios. What do you think?
How bout Sundstrom instead, he could fit well out there
Sundstrom is essentially another Fernando Pisani, except Pisani isn't a healthy scratch every game, and Pisani can score. Edmonton has enough penalty killing forwards anyways. It would benefit us a lot more than them to get Staios for just Sunny.
