Is it me or did the refs seem to give Washington all the breaks tonight, for example the Penalty on Chara in the first period was a joke. It seemed like the Refs were trying to give Washington the Win.
I think it's just you? The officiating was pretty bad but I would say Washington got the crap end of the stick by 1 or 2 calls.
lol ok....there is nothing wrong with being hard. But owning up to your actions is what men do. Guess we see it differently.
If he wants to do it after the series or doing in the media fine.....but I have had enough with the circle jerk over a guy apologizing who pulled a complete BS move.
Screw him...he is a dirty player and I hope he gets his before the series ends.
Dare I say it but Corvo wasn't too bad tonight. A few hiccups but came up big blocking a few shots at the end of the 3rd.
he is having a good playoffs so far, good to see because we can't afford any mistakes and to have him playing with some puck carrying confidence is a plus to the team
I can totally get that tempers can get hot during the course of a game-especially a play off game where the stakes are much higher. I can get that when those tempers flare, sometimes players may do some cheap or dirty things.
I think the apology is a good thing. Means in general Chimera knows what he did was cheap and dirty and wanted to make it right.
Its playoff hockey-things happen and sometimes those things aren't all that sportsmanlike.
Things dont happen wen it is premeditated.
I hate wen people think because they apologized it makes everything fine.
It doesn't.
OK Chimera did apologize to Marchand. But he's still on the hook for McQuaid.
War not over.
funny, even Chimera apologized to Marchand and yet there are still a few thousand posts on the main board attacking Marchand for the incident calling him a diver, even so-called Bruins fans are saying bad things

Was waiting for you to pop up. You have Corvodar lol.
I don't care for him by any stretch but he's done nothing really to make me criticize him. He's raised his compete level and doing a good job in Quaider's absence.
Lucic crosschecked a Canadien in the upper chest/neck area, suspended.
Komisarek breaks his stick on Lucic's face, no suspension.
Asham crosschecks a guy in the throat last night...jury still deliberating that one.
Backstrom crosschecks Peverley up high...still debating.
They're coin flips and I don't care either way. Drag his pansy ass all over the ice and get the wins

I wasn't part of any circle jerk man... I still hate him and would love to see us demolish his ass next game. All im saying is i tip my cap to a man who owns up to his actions. Whether it be right after it happened or at the end of the war. Him doing what he did changes nothing about how i approach him or the Caps the following game. You think Marchand took his apology and was like "oh gee Mr. Chimaera, your a swell guy for doing this." If thats the type of fan you are talking about i agree with you. I just dont see any issue saying what he did is the proper thing to do.
ESPNJoeyMac Chimera was waiting for Marchand near the Bruins' team bus after the game and offered an apology for the spear to the groin.
Don't see how that was just a 2 min penalty. Accident or not.
Especially since Chimera went between the ref's legs with the stick to get to Marchand.
He almost got 4 Cadbury eggs instead of just two.
Pevs tripped Ovie yes but the response by a 3rd man in is uncalled for and bush league.
OV boarded Pevs right between the numbers with time running out and Pevs was engaged with two other Caps. That's why he tripped OV. It certainly wasn't worthy of a retaliatory crosscheck to the chops.

I realize that but I wanted to acknowledge that Pevs did trip Ovie right before but you are correct that it was not worthy or a retaliatory, predatory crosscheck to the face.
What's the consensus here...did Holtby throw his stick in the first period?
It looked bad, then they showed an overhead angle that looked like he MIGHT have tried gripping the tape knob at the end, but it's too close to tell. I'm ok with the non call.
Anyone else notice there's a whole different group of Bruins fans on the main board that never post here? It's weird like an alternate universe where I don't know anyone, and half of them are Dbags giving the rest of us bad names.
Good win, and I think Lucic is a beast from here on out.

My apologies if I offended you. It was not my intention. I was just trying to use your post as a reference point.
