Eh, I disagree. If you really think that 45 points in 139 games has had a "huge" impact on the team then I guess you're talking more in terms of intangibles, and I just don't agree. I think he's been fairly mediocre. I was ready to flip **** if he got to play on the first line tonight.

I didn't even know there was a version of hockey WAR. Not sure how that works.

I don't care how many points Feds scores.

It doesn't work. The Rangers have defied advanced stats all year long. Advanced stats don't work in a team-based game.

There isn't. I'm not sure why he's talking about advanced statistics, I was simply stating that I don't think Fedotenko is much better than a replacement-level AHL'er.

Was lucky enough to be able to watch this game while on shift. Also lucky that the boss made us turn it down about 10mins in, those CBC announcers suck!

Great, tense game of hockey to watch. Even when we scored, you just knew the Sens would keep bringing the pressure and it was going to be tight.

How good is Lundqvist? Can't say anything that hasn't been said already, just an amazing performance.

And Brian Frackin' Boyle! Wow. Was just a beast all game (and most of the series thus far) long. Great to watch the confidence he is playing with.

Strahlman was good, as was McD. Staal was pretty solid but makes some dumb mistakes with the puck.

Was looking for our big 3 fwds (Gabby, Cally and Rich) to step up in the 3rd. I thought Rich lifted his game when it was needed but the other two were pretty subdued. Need big games from all 3 next time around.

Agreed. But please remember it was not so long ago(weeks in fact) that people were ready to run Brian Boyle out of New York on a rail.

It is an amazing thing, but guys can turn it around and wow you.

Good to see them pull out a game I think they were outplayed in, they've been finding ways to do that all here, with huge help from Henrik, who was an absolute monster in this one.

Anyone else think Stepan may be fighting some injury? He just seems to be slower than normal and not as exuberant when he gets the puck.

Nah, I think he's just lost for some reason. Looks like a lack of confidence with the puck. He's playing very tentatively, like he's scared to make a mistake.

Stepan's skating has noticeably declined since the start of the season. The same thing happened last year, he looked like he was skating in mud against Washington in the playoffs.

Maybe he can benefit from getting a few pointers from Boyle. Boyle is not a good skater either, but, for whatever reason, his skating his improved since about mid-March. Perhaps he is taking some refresher courses with Barb Underhill on the side. But Stepan needs to find a way to maintain his skating throughout the course of the entire season.

I was at game 2 and he looked terrible. Would not be surprised if he's hurt.

LOL ESPN predictably makes Lundqvist #7 on their top 10 plays.

Ahead of his 39 save shutout: 4 basketball dunks, 1 diving baseball catch into force out, and... Anderson's "3-save sequence."

That's right, Anderson got the #1 play of the day, while Lundqvist got #7. So pathetic and laughable. No media bias here, folks...

Goalies are a diffrent animal than skaters, but compared to A Niemi, MAF is a more gifted goalie. He's just very talented all over. AN is much more vunerable if you can get him to move around etc. But at the same time, someone like Kari Lethonen is darn talented too TBH.
