Gainey Has Officially Graduated

from Capology University , great job Bob on the Theo move, top shelf move.
He played like crap , had a huge deal, and needed A CHANGE OF SCENERY.
Hab fans this is the new NHL , you make moves with your wallet first , not your head, heart, to appease the fans , or the media. This is a salary dump, just like
Burke moved Fedorov, when you have big $$$ players not earning their keep,
or don`t fit in , or you are going nowhere with that player, when you get a chance to move a contract you do it . This frees up huge $$$$ down the road, this is the reason Saks got his deal, this was talked about for a month.

Perfect thread for me to concede to Gainey with regards to the Koivu contract.

After the signing I was happy that the team managed to keep Saku, but upset with the amount of money as I felt the team was already handicapped with several big contracts. I think my words were something along the lines of "If Gainey can unload a big contract like Theodore's in the off-season, this signing will look a lot better."

Well, I bow down before you Mr. Gainey.
