Wondering...why is Ovechkin allowed to tuck in his jersey?
The NHL reminded players last year that this is not allowed and yet he still does it...and the refs don't enforce the rule.
He needs to be reminded he is NOT special.

Its not a penalty, but I remember Ovie getting a warning last year.
Just found this online from the NHL rulebook
Section 3 - Equipment - "9.5 Protective Equipment - All protective equipment, except gloves, headgear and goalkeepers’ leg guards must be worn under the uniform."
I think it is disgusting that the Canucks are even SUGGESTING that Daniel Sedin might be ready to play on Wednesday.
To risk the health of your best player to try and win one ****ing game is abhorrent. There is ZERO chance, especially with Quick playing the way he is that the Canucks can come back in this series.
How you can even expect someone to believe that a player who slowly coasted around the ice for 15 minutes 2 days ago and couldn't even take a flight might magically be ready to play is a ****ing joke.

I don't think that means you can't tuck your jersey. The pants are part of the uniform. Unless there's another rule I don't think think there's anything against tucking. Maybe you dreamed it?
I like how we are talking about so much about jersey tucks and no one even mentioned the SJ-STL game in the Playoff thread.
Now back on topic: FWIW, more than a couple of times I saw refs go to Kovalchuk during a play stoppage (when he still tucked his jersey) and literally pull the jersey out themselves so that it covered his pants. So it is actually something they enforce, just not very often at all.
If I had to guess, I'd say it has something to do with the numbers on the jersey being obscured. Don't really know why else they would not allow it.

I hate that team and that organization.
He is cleared for practice, not a game. The Doctors would have to clear him to play. Doubtful.

Same here. I watched almost every game since the playoffs started. I saw San Jose and St Louis come on and I just shut it off. I played NHL 12 on PS3 instead
I'm not going to link to it because most of it is NWS but a Canucks fan twitter account wedontdive (yes, that's the name) is bloody hilarious. Not because it's funny but because he takes hockey so seriously. Not good seriously, bad seriously.
Anyways, not sure if anyone follows Don Cherry Parody but this tweet by his about the above fan had me in stitches:

YKNOW I DONT UNNERSTAND HOW A GUY CALLED @WEDONTDIVE CAN BE A CANUCKS FAN, EITHER YA DONT DIVE OR YER A CANUCKS FAN, YA GOTTA PICK A SIDE!
In other playoff news, Adam Proteau has been nailing it on twitter recently. Good stuff.

ok boys that makes 3 of us
I was set up in front of the TV and just couldn't do it......I found myself searching my PVR for recorded material that has been building up since the playoffs started. I watched the end of the Ottawa game.......the end of the Bruins game......but then totally hit the wall and couldn't watch the Blues Sharks game.........I watched 60 minutes, Meet the Press, and the Firm before turning in.
I will pick it up again tonight but I have kind of lost interest in the Blues Sharks series for some reason?

100% agree with all of this.. Was thinking the same thing.. That's pretty risky of the team.
