Not the usual fare that gets posted in here, but a couple of tracks from upcoming releases that I am excited about (which isn't often, as I rarely get impressed nowadays) from artists that should be well known to those that are fans of all things electronic.

Squarepusher - Dark Steering

Mohn (Jörg Burger & Wolfgang Voigt) - Ebertplatz 2020

Out of the 3 SHM guys, which one do you guys think is the most talented?

Personally, for me, it is Axwell, but wanted to get some more opinions.

Deep has been my favorite prog house label for a long time, rarely a weak release from them.

So, i was at dayglow tonight with David Solano and Chuckie..

I forget who said it when watching ultra, but Chuckie makes for a hell of an MC.. He just gets the crowd going crazy

I don't get the hate with Swedish House Mafia..

Without them helping break out the edm scene, it'd be considerably smaller

A lot of the criticism is aimed at the fact that they played a very different style before One. Kind of similar to Eric Prydz. Especially Steve Angello has changed his way a lot.

Add to the fact that alot of their sets are pre-mixed so it will coordinate with the lighting/fireworks and you will get a lot of hate from their old time fans.

Cool idea. Hard for me to choose, as I loved EDM right from the start. So hard to choose the first song that really got me hooked, but if I had to...

One thing is certain, whichever buddy gave me

Talented? I'd say Axwell.

Best live (Alone)? Well i've seen all 3 separately, and Ingrosso absolutley kills it. He's an incredible MC and great at getting the crowd going. Axwell's good at that too.

Those Roth tracks reminded me of his remix that is on the Jaïa remix album which I happen to enjoy. Well worth checking out for the other mixes as well, for some proggy goodness

I've noticed that as well. I was at game 1 and 2 for the bruins and during warm ups they played a bunch of house like calling, greyhound, etc.

Washington plays a ton of it, during games too. Tiesto is a fan of the caps and good friends with backstrom and ovi, so they play his stuff during the game all the time.

There was a month long period between january and February where ANY time it was quiet enough to hear the arena music, it would be Levels...

How do progressive house producers and DJs spin this stuff with a straight face and NOT call it trance? Because they added "house-y sounds" to it and took away a synth or two?

Btw, really like this track and I'm a total trance head

I think it's more a case of trance starting to sound like house rather than house sounding like trance. They've always been close but it seems there's been a lot of overlap the past few years, especially in the trance->house direction, probably because of house's explosion in popularity.

This track is so underrated:

720p that ****.
