I see the Oilers finishing between 5-11 next year.
From the top? or the bottom?

If the Oilers got MacKinnon, Nail, along with the three they have now... They'd be... No, I don't even want to think about it. They wouldn't need a goalie or D lol.

But that won't happen, Edmonton won't get a top 5 pick next year.
That Shawinigan club is pretty good. I think they will be tough at home.

I'd like to find out what people think would happen in a Shawinigan/Saint John series. There's a possibility it's the Q finals matchup (don't want to rule out my Mooseheads yet). I think Saint John is just far to deep up front. Shawinigan will give them the best go but I still don't think they have enough to knock the Dogs out.

1g + 1a so far tonight as the mooseheads are up 4-1 in the 3rd looking to force a game 7 after trailing 3-0 in the series. Mackinnon is now up to 42g 53a for 95pts in 68gp in the regular season and playoffs combined.

I was at the game and he played a good game but I was more impressed by Jonathan Drouin a 16 years old too, what a goal he scored in the second period (4 pts tonight and 14 points in 10 games so far). I don't know how he is looked or ranked by the scouts but he will climb up the ranking fast I think. Add to that Fucale who played like a 19 or 20 years old all the series. The Mooseheads have a great core with those 3, do you think that all 3 will be selected in the first round at the 2013 draft ?

I talked about Jonathan Drouin, don't see him in your list but from what I saw tonight (ok it's just one game) he impressed me a lot more than Duclair for example. Can't wait to see him a complete season with MacKinnon as 17 years old next year, probably around 40 goals and 100 points and I'm being conservative

I believe RLR had Drouin 19th overall or something like that. He is often being regarded as a first round pick now and has only been helping his stock rise with his recent play. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top 15 next year and maybe even top 10 if he grows and gets stronger.

I totally had a brainfart and thought you said Duclaire.

Duclair & Drouin are sooooo different.
Drouin is extremely skilled with questionable work ethic (Just my opinion, not sure if that's consensus but he seems complacent at times) He might've just been uncomfortable in the Q when I watched him. Thankfully he'll have a full Q season next year.
Duclair is very unnatural but he's a work horse. Duclair looks like the ultimate energy player.

Just my opinion, only based off watching each of them about 5 times.

I would say they are different players for other reasons.

Duclair seems to have the physical abilities like speed and strength, but his IQ isn't on the same level. Drouin lacks physical gifts but has amazing hockey IQ.

Tonight he looked really comfortable and at the opposite Duclair looked tired. You're right from what I saw from Duclair in the regular season (as an energy player) but the long season seem to have slowed him down. Hope he can rebound tomorrow as the game 7 of this surprising long match-up (I say surprising because Quebec had a 3-0 lead and now they really are in trouble and the 16 yo goalie totally outmatch the 19 yo goalie (Louis Domingue)).

At the intermission of the STL SJ game, Bob McKenzie said that most scouts think MacKinnon would go number 1 in 2012.

Which could mean most or some. You could say a lot of scouts would or would not take Yakupov first overall. Both are likely right.

I remember him saying some as well though.

MacKinnon has found another gear in the play-offs. Kid is an absolute beast.

He's not Sidney Crosby but he's going to be a very important player for some team. Definitely has the potential to be an 80-90 point player with those intangibles that help you win in the play-offs.

Anybody know if the Moose were using Falkenham on the PP in game 6? Mark my words, he will be the captain when he is 19.

He is better then Duclair in my opinion. I have him just behind Erne for 3rd in the QMJHL. He is crafty, agile, quick, smart and can stickhandle in a phone booth. Patrick Kane lite.

Not sure how much ice time he's getting but the fact that they're using him while guys like Andrew Ryan are healthy scratches shows how much the team likes his game.
Pretty sure he's the youngest player on the team as well, not even draft eligible until 2014, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was the captain by then.

Yup, captained Team Nova Scotia in the 2011 Winter Games and was the flag bearer too. Meaning that he has a lot of good leadership qualities.

Lewis as captain next year, but Falks could get it the years after
