Proposals for a brother/friend/hometown guy

We see so many proposals on here for things like:

Luke Schenn to Philly
Player to Minnesota/Toronto etc. because he's from there

A question - does this ever actually happen? Aside from a few GMs (Tallon, Muckler) who re-acquire guys they had before, or Vancouver moving up to draft both Sedins, I can't recall a single trade where a team did any of the following:

1. Acquired a player whose star brother was currently on the roster

or

2. Acquired a player because he was a "local kid"

Obviously some UFAs are influenced by playing at home or with their brother/friend (Konopka in Ottawa; Niedermayers in Anaheim; Selanne & Koivu in Anaheim) but I think all of these "unite the brothers" or "bring player X home" proposals are just unrealistic.

This year the jets traded for Eric Fehr, because he was from Winkler Manitoba. They signed Jason Jaffray and Rick Rypien because they had played with the moose and were fan favourites in Manitoba during the AHL days... Mark Flood played for them on the moose and was brought in to play for the Jets. Derek Meech was a free agent signed from the Red Wings because he is from Winnipeg...

Not so much in the NHL but in the OHL I see it all the time. Mark and Dale Hunter own the London Knights and over the last few years they have had all kinds of son/nephews come to the team. Also Corey Perry's brother Adam Perry was taken by London. There are also the Syvret's but neither has made it to the NHL yet really so doubt many will recognize that name.

He was actually drafted by Washington in the 6th round in 2005 then later traded to the Sabres
