Regardless of what the Devils fans think of the Panthers, and us "cocky" and "smug" fans, the better team has the series lead.
I don't really consider Panthers fans cocky or smug. And the better team does have the lead in this series. I give Florida a lot of credit. They could have easily folded after the starts of Game 1 and 3, but didn't. Instead it's the team on the other end that has folded like a cheap tent. I'm honestly embarrassed at the performance of the Devils in this series.

Where the hell does that fire that you see in the first half of the first period go? They look like world beaters early on, then like you said, just fold like a cheap tent after that. I was one of the bigger DeBoer fans when he was the Panthers coach, but we have seen this song and dance so many times when he was down there. A lot of Panther players said that when he coached, they were afraid to take chances at time, because of the leash DeBoer put on them, so maybe his style might make those Devil players squeeze those sticks a bit tighter.

The easiest way to look bad and choke is by getting ****** goaltending.
No ability to completely put a team away. They had the Cats in a headlock and refused to put them down and stomp on their throats. Quick 3 goal lead in the first 6 minutes and everything shuts off.
