Home ice disadvantage again this year. Home teams are 8-14.

With the shenanigans (did somebody say shenanigans?) going on, and the NHL's complete unwillingness to take control and return to hockey, I can't help but root against Pittsburgh (even though I like the team), New York (well that's not hard), and Vancouver (that's actually pretty easy!).

I hope St Louis goes deep this year. I like how they play. Tough, defensive-minded, no stupid crap, and skill plays too.

I just don't like San Jose. Kind of getting a kick out of watching them fall flat, especially since everyone is so in love <3 <3 <3 with Martin Havlat.

Here's to dreams of a Phoenix/Nashville-Florida final. The gaskets that the stereotypical Canadians will blow...

Nashville-Florida would be funny. No idea if Florida has what it takes to get there tho. They still seem like a bit of a wild card to me.

Phoenix however I do not see as having what it takes to get past the 2nd round.

But yeah, I would love to see the Canadian traditionalists lose their minds over a double non-traditional final.

Anyone else see the Red Wings player try to draw a boarding penalty? He checked himself into the end boards full speed, and even flopped as if he was being driven in...but the Nashville player didn't actually maintain contact and finish the check. It was like an invisible player boarding him.

They must have borrowed Invisible Bob (from the Wild) for the playoffs.

Can someone please explain to me how the hell the Panthers are currently leading 4-3? This game HAS to have a good story to it... I just missed most of it going out to eat tonight.

Its one part hatred for Zids, one part Love for Theo that makes me want the Panthers to win.

Parise missing that open net when it matters most makes me think he'd fit in just perfectly with the Wild.

Can't believe refs continue to no-call hits to the head after players leave their feet.

That's almost as disgusting as the Pittsburgh - Philly series.

"We intended to blow the whistle."

Why would they have intended to blow the whistle? When would they have done it? It was a loose puck, then it was in the net. There was never a time for them to ever even consider anything else.

Wow, they can't even video review correct. It hit the camera, not the back crossbar.

And word is Hossa still doesn't have any movement on way to the hospital. What will Shanny do? Repeat offender leaving his feet?

And Torres didn't even get a penalty for it. A late hit where he left his skates....sends a guy to the hospital. No penalty. BS! I hope the Hawks send the Yotes all the way back to Canada.
