No doubt. Their tv production is top quality. That intro makes FSW's look like something on basic cable thrown together by a couple of college students.

Pretty sure they'll be sending an NBC crew to do that game.

Here's a preview... it's not pretty, but the analysis is excellent.

Job well done so far by the Kings. Although I'm starting to get a little worried about facing this Kings team somewhere down the line with the way LA is playing (both LA and the Hawks still need to get past Round 1), I'm definitely enjoying what you guys are doing to Vancouver. Good luck in Game 4!
Wouldn't happen until the conference finals. Kings would play St. Louis in the next round or if the Guppies win we would play the winner of Det/Nas. Only after that would we get the Hawk. That would be too good to be true.

Excellent game but some definite room for improvement.

I like how we didn't panic and kept on bringing physical heat when they were challenged.

We need to pick it up to a higher level to close out a team as gifted as the Canuchs but if we do it will feel good being vindicated again. Our boys are good, real good and they are playing like they have the kind of confidence that it takes to beat the best.

SERIOUS DAMAGE BOYS!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! !!

I don't think they claimed Brown's hit was dirty, but rather PJ was criticizing the Canucks lack of response when their star player gets hit. He discussed this generally as a lack of a team response which he believes hurts the team. Ron asked Bruce what he thought about the hit, and Bruce responded that he is an LA guy and thought the hit was great. There was no disagreement from the others at that point. If anything they have been complimentary of the team and Quick in particular has got much deserved recognition.

I meant that the play by play guys claimed the hit was
1. late
2. from behind
3. an elbow to the head.

All of which is untrue.

Tonight on NHL OTF, they were showing the late hits/cheap shots/fights from the pitt/phil game, and talking about how the game got out of hand.

Then they showed the Brown check on Sedin?!?!? WTF?? That was just a hard hockey check, and 99% of (non-Vanc) commentators have said as much - how can NHL OTF show that hit as anything comparible to the pitt/phil fight fest?

oh sorry I was thinking you were still discussing the intermission talk. In game they (Craig Simpson) were talking about possible late hit, but agreed Sedin turned into the hit and it was elbow to chin not to head. I have to admit I initially thought it was a late hit, plus I thought Brown was going to be in trouble on it, but on closer look, absolutely it was a good clean hit. Sedin was talking to the media after and i have to say he had no complaints about the hit as well, as he obviously knew it was clean.

In that moment, with him on the ice, dazed looking into the boards, I actually felt bad for him, and I never thought that would occur watching any Sedin ever.
Agreed on all accounts. I had a lot of respect for him when they asked him after what his thoughts on it. His response "clean hit". He said it with complete confidence... Total respect for that.

Don't know if it's been posted yet:

"Kevin Bieksa ‏ @kbieksa3
Good re-group day today for the boys! Lots of team bonding... Got these guys right where we want them!!"

By 'Got these guys right where we want them!!', do you mean one win away from sending your ***es to the golf course?

Sutter has been great for Doughty. Always pushing him to be his best and trying to keep him level headed.

In Game 3 the Canucks had the advantage territorially, but most of their shots came from the outside.
Agree. I keep coming back to this stat from game 3:

Canucks 41 shots on goal, 9 scoring chances.
Kings 20 Shots on goal, 13 scoring chances.

Vancouver's offense looks alot like the LA's offense under Terry Murray; lots of low % shots from the perimeter. Everyone is praising Quick, but really he hasn't had to do all that much. It's encouraging that the Kings are playing well positionally in their own end, instead of running around like they did in the prior two playoff series.

I love the amount of coaching, and recognition you see in that. Great job on both their parts.

i've had to watch the CBC coverage for all three games so far. ehhh....i'd rather have Fox/PT coverage with Bob and Jim doing the game. might as well be watching the VAN crew cover the game, because they definitely lean to the VAN side since its the CBC.

all the stories and such revolve around 'what is VAN doing wrong', 'how come VAN can't score'. instead of 'this is why LA is winning'.

they aren't completely overboard homers, but it tends to lean that direction. i will say its better than listening to P Maguire drone on and on with needless ********, or Doc Emrick and the inevitable 'waffle board stop by .....(insert keepers name).

just give me B Miller please

What doeseveryone think about the extra day off? Who does it benefit most?
I think that it helps the sucks more as it allows Daniel to come back. If the game was today he wouldn't be elligable to play as (i believe) league protocal says he has to wait a week to practise after a set back, and that they must practice before they can play.
It does help us out with Richardson, Clifford and lokitinov.
