Collberg has been doing awesome this season but Gaunce has an interesting combo of size and skill that people should keep an eye on. This tourney, for me, is the make or break situation where I debate Collberg vs. Gaunce.
Totally agree. Not a big fan of Gaunce. He doesn't really come off as a 'big game/intangible type guy' like he's been portrayed in most scouting reports.

But seriously how does Yakimov compare to other russians in his draft class

I'm assuming the Collberg/Gaunce debate is for the #5 forward on your list?
Really? I have Collberg as the clear #5. Still have yet to really break down the Fin though.
See, thats where I have a problem. I love Collberg; love that he's good all-around, plays hard, and has a nice package of offensive skills. But so do Radek Faksa, Teuvo Teravainen and Brendan Gaunce (although Gaunce has the lower upside).
I can fully understand why you have Collberg the winner out of these prospects but I find it hard to say there is a CLEAR winner, all these forwards are very impressive prospects.

I've definitely paid alot more attention to Collberg than the other names, but IMO his skills are top end. Electric skater, with top end puck skills, and an elite shot. He also appears to be a really confident player.
The only thing he doesn't really have going for him is his size. But I find smaller players tend to be underrated and bigger players overrated in general when it comes to drafting and the first round in particular. You look at the massive steals in the middle of the first round over the last couple of years, and they tend to be the guys who dropped due to size. (I'm thinking of Karlsson and Giroux in particular).
From what I understand Teuvo has a pretty similar package to Collberg though, but have yet to break him down.
Dansk through three games: 75 SVS 78 SOG .962 SV%, 1GAA, 1SO.
This could help his stock. I mean...Sweden plays the US right? It would depend on how they play against them, but I feel like Sweden is just going to roll their way to a win.

I think USA has already secured group win so earliest they'll meet are in the final.
