I would have liked our chances at an upset if we had Jordan Nolan, Dwight King, Slava Voynov, and Andrei Lotionov. Oh well being a Bruins fan I'm loving every second of the Kings kicking the snot out of the Nucks.

Admirals/Scope ownership screwed the pooch on this series...Poor scheduling forced them out of home ice for the first round. Hopefully it doesn't add any fuel to the fire for Tampa bailing.

That was the reason they elected to go first at home?

Here I figured it was because they figure they have the series wrapped up after their 28 in a row win streak.

Norfolk will finally be stopped.

.... for a single game.

Admirals in four.

No, the International Tatoo was scheduled at the Scope MONTHS ago, without any thought that the Admirals, who made the playoffs last year, might make it again this year. Reality dictates though, that the series probably would not make it back to Norfolk anyway.

So finally after 29 games they crapped the bed last night. This series just got very interesting.

I wouldn't so much as say they crapped the bed. Granted they did only play 40 minutes of solid hockey, but playing 7-5 the entire night doesn't help either.

The refs' skating was atrocious and directly led to several turnovers in the neutral zone for both teams. 3-4 non-calls directly led to odd-man rush/break-aways for Manchester, two of which went in the net. The blue line had a tendancy to disappear and reappear at the most inopportune times. Luckily enough the Monarchs never capitalized on any of the bad calls, just their non-calls, or else this game could have been an absolute massacre. 5-2 final included 2 empty netters.

No? But Manchester now has 3 straight home games. I like their chances. Simply because they are home and the law of averages would suggest Norfolk is due for a struggle after all that winning.

One thing is for sure, after winning all those games Ads fans forgot how to take a loss. I have never heard so much complaining from AHL fans. Well I'm happy you guys gave us 3 home games hopefully we only need 2.
