Two more

Sean Odonnel and Denis Gauthier have both been dealt.

...and now O'Donnell to the Ducks. OK Darcy, it's time to pick up the phone and see what the story is. Will Salei or Carney be dealt?

Maybe, given the trend of today, Fitzpatrick's bags have been packed.

You're one step ahead of me.

2 second round picks good? That sounds steep to me.
If DR can't bring someone in for less than that, I am happy with status quo.

All these D moving into the eastern conference makes me (1) concerned and (2) thinking that these teams know they have to deal with the quick forwards of Bflo, NYR, OTT and CAR if they want to go anywhere.

It looks to me like Darcy is being priced out of the market.

I just e-mailed Jay Onrait at TSN to see if he could call Regier and let him know that the deadline is today. Maybe he forgot?

Specualtion is Carney to the 'Nucks. Unfortunately, I don't see Salei getting moved.

That's not hard to accomplish.

Clarke had the assets to overpay. Instead of 4 2nd rounders, they now only have 2!

Fine by me, you need to deal from a position of strength.
If you have a surplus of picks, move some. Same goes for prospects, etc.

Buffalo, IMO, is just. If Mika can be unloaded for a 3rd, I consider the day a win.

Good deal for the Ducks, IMO. Friesen hasn't done jack this year, but I think it'll turn out well.

Where have we heard that before? Oh, yeah -- in every offseason.

I'l tell you what, I'm not a huge fan of the blooger/insider thing, but one of these guys has been spot on the past few weeks and it isn't Eklund.

Plenty of activity.

So far the only surprise I see is Arnason for Bochenski and a 2nd. Not diggin' that deal at all and I'm a Muckler fan.

I think Arnason is going to excel in OTT. I'd be loathe to trade Bo and his scoring pop and a second, but Arnason is relatively cheap, and perhaps his attitude issues are a thing of the past.

The best deal of the day was Ottawa not getting Jokinen, Bertuzzi or top name goaltender.
