You know, before today I felt we would lose this game. Now that I am thinking about it, the Wings were down 3-0 to the Sharks last year, and we brought it to game 7. These guys know what has to be done, and I believe they will pull it off. For some reason, I think we blow them out tonight(wishful thinking ) and set a statement that we are still a great team.

5-1 Wings. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall, Bertuzzi, Cleary.

I have no idea how the game will go.

I wish I was more confident like most of you are.

I think the Preds are getting the bounces their. WE were 0.1 sec from tying the game. Can it be any closer?
We'll see how it goes tonight.
I am not very happy with Bertuzzi and Abdelkader on the same line. Penalty machine.

Pregame Interview Questions for Ian White:
1) how awesome is Nick Lidstrom?
2) How happy are you to be playing with Nick Lidstrom?
3) How awesome will you be playing with Lidstrom?
4) Why aren't you being most glowing about Lidstrom?

I repeat...start strong!

I know Hank and Pavel will bring it...I want some secondary production and a multi-goal game by the Beast of Burden would be nice.

I think Babcock should try them together for some shifts.

Secondary production is the key. Nashville has getting killing us with their bottom six, not the top six. Fisher and Legwand have been held to almost nothing. It's got to be the 3rd and 4th lines beating the other 3rd and 4th lines that will give us the edge.

Or more scoring from the blueline. That would do it, too.

We're averaging 6 penalties a game? Ouch. I knew it was more than our normal average, but that's ridiculous

Why is it so quiet here?

Bertuzzi, Franzen, Abdelkader and Quincey have to stay out of the PB. Bertuzzi can take 5 and take Weber with him.

Puttin on the lucky shoes and the red wings sweater... Go Wings.

I see a blow out here. The wings will shoot their load on this game and loose the next 2. I hope I'm wrong

How many of those are actual infractions? This series is the perfect example of why mothers who do meth while pregnant shouldn't encourage their babies to become NHL referees.

It's starting to get under my skin, that's for sure. What they call and what they let go is completely out of whack.

I know it's not entirely the refs fault, because clearly the league is telling them to call the game a certain way. I just don't like it. I've never said this until now... but I kind of miss clutch and grab era. At least then you knew what was a penalty! You had to tackle a guy.

Spending 1/5th of the game shorthanded is still the same regardless of the severity of penalties sadly. But I agree.

On top of that, he looks no better than Hudler, honestly. I don't get all the hype around him. He tore it up in the KHL, big whoop, welcome back to the hitting league.
