Quick Calculus question:
I have a question that says:
Explain why F(x) = (1 if x =o, lxl/x if x=/= 0)

I have to explain why F(x) is not continuous at 0, but [F(x)]^2 is continuous at zero.

I'm bad at problems like this. Help?

There's a college and high school questions forum.

I don't want to see Sigur Ros at Osheaga with a bunch of people who don't care about them.

Therefore I'm making the drive to Toronto on August 1st to see them.

I really dislike music festivals. See: http://www.buzzfeed.com/peggy/15-coa...asters-part-ii

Normally I'd rag on you for being a music snob, but Sigur Ros is one of the only bands in the world that this is actually applies to. It will definitely be very frustrating to hear 16 year old girls *****ing because they're bored and have no idea what they're actually witnessing. That said, the beauty of the festival is that you can see so many wonderful bands in one great weekend.

Also, Osheaga isn't close to Coachella with regards to people trying to make fashion statements and outdoing one another. It also isn't a filled with celebrities.

Mitch, I don't think this a problem at Osheaga. Granted, one headliner might not be another headliner's fanbase's cup of tea, but fans coexist and respect the spirit/essence of the festival. Last year, Tragically Hip fans moved out at the end of the group's performance, and Flaming Lips fans closed in on the stage while Death Cab For Cutie was playing on the other main stage.

It's even less of a problem when the bands you want to see play on 'secondary' stages. Band #1 moves in. Band plays set. Band moves out. Band #2 moves in... Etc.

And MJG is right. Osheaga doesn't attract much of the "look at me" crowd. It's a modern-day Woodstock with emphasis on the music, not gimmicks. No fashion statements, no peace and love, no political messages... Just 3 days of freakingly good artists for a very reasonable price.

New artists just added!
The Jesus and Mary Chain, Common, Santigold, Knife Party, Wolfgang Gartner, Buraka Som Sistema, Fun., Adventure Club, The Airborne Toxic Event, Avec pas d’casque, Wintersleep, The Aggrolites, Yukon Blonde, Poliça, Memoryhouse, Keys N Krates, Prison Garde, Zombie Disco Squad, Mak 10 & Hyper MC, LP, Solids, FunkyFalz, Kaytradamus, Simon Called Peter, Vosper.

Daily schedules are up and single day tickets and 2 day passes are now available. I don't know if it's been confirmed yet but Friday is definitely going to be a full day and not starting in the late afternoon like last year.

lol

Basically

The limit of F(X) when x-->0- <> limit of F(X) when x-->0+
-1 <> 1

but F(X)^2 = G(X) becomes

G(X) = (1 if x= 0 , x^2/X^2 = 1 when X<>0) so basically 1 across all values of x therefore continuous.

Hope this helps

Back on topic.. People go to Osheaga for music, not fashion statements.

So is Sunday. Saturday is definitely the weak link. They really need an artist or two near the top of the billing to solidify it.

If you buy weekend passes for Osheaga do they come as seperate tickets or as one individual pass? Because I would obviously try to sell off Saturday is possible.

damn I really wanted to see Snoop Dogg again but the rest of Saturday's lineup is too weak to justify it. I can probably only afford to go for one day so it's a real hard choice between Friday and Sunday!

Just buy a Friday and Sunday ticket. It'll cost $170 as opposed to $220. Save yourself the hassle of trying to sell the Saturday ticket cause I don't think it'll be that easy to sell. I really do think they'll add an act or two to Saturday. (They have to right?) Because as it stands, I won't be going which is a shame because I really wanted to see Portugal the Man and Yeasayer but I can't justify it with the lineup the way it is.

Yeah, I don't care for saturday's headliners but I want to see Portugal. The Man, Yeasayer, Black Lips and The Sheepdogs so I'll probably end up going all three days.

Do the 3-day passes usually sell out?

After being mostly disappointed with the Bluesfest lineup, I'm thinking of a trip for all three days. Can't commit to the full festival quite yet due to work.

Will I still be able to grab a full festival pass in say, late June? Or is that down to mostly single day tickets.
