Remember last year when Willy didnt play and then he came back and was all over the place. Unfortunately he never got a point but he was hustling back and forth.

If they got into a game theyd be hustling and playing their hardest.

Horrible, horrible game so far- but at least we aren't behind and the longer it stays scoreless the more the pressure ramps up for Detroit.

I would hate to see the time of possession numbers- we have had zero puck possession. Like someone else said, its almost like all we are trying to do is keep them from scoring.

The thing that gives me hope is you see all the time a team that dominates a game and doesn't cash in winds up losing on a fluke goal-

The only person of great value on the ice is Rinne. Honorable mention to Gaustad who has probably saved two PP goals and is playing very well on the PK. SK74 has had some nice puck saves in the neutral zone and seems to be one of the more competent skaters tonight. And lastly, I'd have to say Weber and Suter, but Suter especially, have been saving the day. It's been a while since Suter played a genuinely solid positional game. Fisher also had one nice drive and some decent physical play, but not awesome. EDIT: Fisher did save the only goal tonight, so I'll let him go with a pass.

Cube is awful tonight. Everyone else is just mediocre really.

don't know why you feel smith wouldn't have made that play.. he would have, guaranteed.. wilson I understand your sentiments.. who knows if he would have.. he may be motivated to do what it takes...or not.

it can't get worse .. we have completely been owned for 5 periods straight pretty much... and we have what? oh yeah... 10 (TEN) shots on goal

Yeah that is brutal, should have been a misconduct. No puck and left his feet. Hossa is also likely done for a while which is an immense loss.

Seems people here have a short memory. Up til January most of our board agreed Wilson had been our most consistent player on both sides of the puck. Once all the new players started arriving it went downhill for him. Give him another chance

If Det does win they will have all the confidence of having dominated the last 5 periods of hockey. We can't spoil this effort of pekka. If we win he will be in their heads.

Sorry ... but I never jumped on the Wilson love wagon. He's got offensive talent, but he has gaps in his game .... "most of our board agreed" is not necessarily an indicator of being correct.
