What are the Devils doing?
Sadly I missed the goals. Damn Wings/Preds game.

Holy ****. Panthers tie it, Marty gets pulled. Back-up vs. back-up.

Panthers think they're the Flyers.

You suck, Devils.

Panthers and Flyers both with a 60% PP.

What the hell happened to the best PK in the NHL since the expansion? Small sample size and all that, but still. Damn it, when I for once want the Devils to win (no Rangers in the second round, please). The idea of playing bad enough for sixth place included not playing bad when the playoffs begun, stupid NJ.

It's a shame that Torres keeps doing these really, really stupid hits. He's a pretty decent player, but he just lacks control.

In other news, I really want us to land Suter in the summer.

And the next joke: A clear goal for Nashville gets waived of because the zebras lost sight of the puck for a millisecond.

And Nashville scores again 30 seconds later. Lucky break for the officials.

This first round is becoming a complete and total debacle.

If Shanny throws the book at Neal and sends a message, I wonder if Hossa would be hurt. He really should have hit Weber with something to set the tone.

Nah Torres is a POS and will continue doing that no matter the consequences.

Jesus. Neal will get a game or two; Torres should get at least 10.

It's not often you see a Detroit defense so disorganized. Especially when Lidström is on the ice. I don't know what he and White were doing, but they weren't communicating. That whole play was just terrible defending. There were a couple of other incidents in the game where they couldn't agree on what to do as well. It doesn't help that Howard isn't anywhere near where he should be either. Erat is doing a great job there though, I've been really impressed by him this season in the games I've seen with Nashville. He is very smart out on the ice, and he works his ass off for the most time as well.

Something ain't quite right with Detroit. They usually have a very crisp passing game, but tonight there were a lot of miscues, and passes that normally end up on the blade had to be handled by the skate or being caught behind ones back.

In part that is a result of that Nashville's defense on the other hand was doing a pretty solid job. Sure, the Red Wings had a lot of shots, but they were perimeter shots for the most part. The Predators kept them to the sides, and forced them to take shots from bad angles. Nashville's centers are really good two-way players all four of them, as well. They can't count on the Red Wings to gift them goals like this in the upcoming game(s) though.
