If they would have held on to the lead, Thursday would have been sold out by tomorrow. I hope we don't see a fairweather fan ticket dump before Game-4 now, but a lot of fans were PO'd leaving the rink tonight.
The joint was a packed sea of red tonight, nice to see, but have a real bad taste in my mouth right now.
Crowd was amazing tonight.. best I've ever seen at the Rock.
Supportive even when the team was collapsing before our eyes.
Feel bad for DSA who has to actually get people to pay to continuously be disappointed in the most ridiculous ways come playoff time...

There is only so much the part of the organization that DSA is a part of can do as far as getting butts in the seats and they did a solid job of that tonight
Unfortunately the on ice product failed the packed house

Oh, I wasn't bashing DSA at all. In fact, he and his team did an amazing job tonight. Been to most playoff games at the Rock (ugh) and tonight was by far the best crowd.
I was just saying that a game like tonight makes his job 1000x harder.. convincing people to pay to see a game that the Devils will likely lose in ridiculous fashion..

Well the good news is he did say Thursday had already been outpacing Tonight to begin with, so they cant be THAT far from a sellout. I was positively amazed how many tickets sold on Stubhub tonight in the brief timeframe when the Devils were dominating, so it stands to reason there was probably at least SOME TM purchases as well tonight. Hopefully? Maybe?

i need a beer.. or three
I know you weren't bashing him
I think we can all use a beer or three after that performance
I know not every fan feels this way, but speaking as a fan, there is no better time to be had at a game, than when my team's back is against the wall and it's basically a "must win". I guess we do have the disappointment factor of the collapse last night playing in.
But, as a fan, I know I hate waiting till Thursday to have to turn it around and will be into every single play that much more once the puck drops...
You have to place an offer just like Priceline and Scorebig will get back to you within 24 hours letting you know if it has been accepted.
Thats not true. It will let you know right away if they accept your offer. It says tickets are up to 50% off, so that is what I was referring to. Say a lower level ticket is $120 at 4 stars on their map or w/e, and you offer $70 for those seats, there is a good chance they will accept that offer.
Score Big was started by a couple of guys I used to work with at the NBA. Interesting concept...they're trying to be the Priceline of sports and entertainment tickets.
They get tickets from either teams or brokers. You as a fan don't know where the seats come from. However...
It's either a last ditch effort for a broker who couldn't sell traditionally...or a team looking to unload tickets. They don't promise any sale price to the provider of tickets...only a percentage of the sale.
We do not use them - meaning we do not give them our own tickets. Brokers who get caught w their seats and have electronic tickets can use them on their own...but again only as a last ditch effort.
Their marketing tag line is up to 50 percent off because it's a bid system...so as a fan you could bid whatever price you want.
Then, score big has an algo that either accepts or denies you bid. The company's philosophy is - we'll allow a lower bid on the first bid and then deny bids from that point, from the same buyer that are "similarly low"...trying to teach the buyer they will get a discount, but not as large a discount each time...as score big gets a percentage of sales, they prefer selling high as well.

DSA, I'm with you and will be ready for Thursday. All i ask is someone please rewrite the patronizing script given to the announcer. "Fans, we need your help to score a goal!" "Fans, we need your help to kill this penalty!" We know what's up without his help and as the game went on these statements became more and more ridiculous given the circumstances. Just fyi

Can't say I disagree . That part is not my call...but i will certainly let it be known!

It was too forced/canned/hokey after while, once in a while is fine, but after every stoppage of play. I thought I was in Carolina.
I have to say our fans were MUCH louder than what Florida's fans did in Games 1 & 2.
Not that the FLA fans were quiet, but I was at the game last night and watched the first period on replay last night on MSG+ (who even drowns out our crowd noise).
We were much louder and will need to be on Thursday again.
DSA, can you back this up since you were at Game-1?

There's about 40-60 seats left for tomorrow in EACH balcony section so I anticipate the Devils doing what the did for yesterday's game.
I hope everyone saw what I have been trying to prove all along. It's not a terrible thing for the team to lower some prices to get butts in the seats. The place was absolutely ROCKING and was so much fun (until the team took a collective dump on the ice).
My Canadian friends watching on TSN all said they were really surprised at how loud it sounded.

Hard to tell. The Rock is a GREAT building. The one thing I've noticed about the different buildings I've visited - the ones with the low roofs, like MSG and Bank Atlanic Center - the sound gets trapped a lot better and it echoes way more. Our building has a high roof...and the sound sometimes floats. I think our standard - "let's go devils" chant is louder than anything they have. However...while their crowd is smaller than ours...I do give their loyal fans credit...they were quite into the game.
I was happy with our crowd's involvement - but it's hard to really "rate" them as it was a weird game - WAY HIGH emotions at the beginning - then "oh sh$*" fear the rest of the way....
