Not even just modern trance tunes which do have some house sounds (but still retain the distinctive trance template/progression/structure), house from 10 years ago didn't really contain much at all that was similar to trance unless it fell into that "McProg" term that a lot tossed around so lovingly (or "progressive trance" or "progressive house" or whatever it was).

This tune by Hardwell and Dannic have all the traditional trance sounds and follows trance structure almost to a T. Had I not known that Hardwell was a electro house and progressive house producer, I could have guessed it was by some new trance producer.

But, eh, whatever I guess. Just wish that people would hate on trance less.

I don't know, I don't really hear much trance influence on that track to be honest.

To me, the main lead melody has a very trance feel to it. The structure with buildup, breakdown, and be drop had the progression of a big trance tune to me. Perhaps I'm getting a bit less discerning in my ears.

I'd have to agree on the talent part. I've never seen any of them live though. Will definitely catch Ingrosso and Angello at EDC.

New track which will be featured on the Pryda album has surfaced. Really nice calm melodic tune. I can see my self finishing the night off with this.

Anyone ever go to a show that was projected in 3d? And how did that work?

Big question guys; which female DJ combines best good looks and great music?

My vote goes to Ida Engberg.

Man, Adam Beyer is one lucky man.

If it's just music, Maya Jane Coles wins it though.

Pete Tong opened his show today with this, I think it's going to be huge.

Two huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge(!!!) previews on Pete Tong last night!

Would like a instrumental of this one though, as I think the vocals don't fit that much.

... and the instant classic "top-10 house-tune of all-time"

So Elements is this weekend, Day 1 seems to have a pretty straightforward Schedule (Mord Fustang->Wolfgang Gartner->Calvin Harris), but Day 2 is messy. All I know is I want to see all of Showtek. I really want to see Coone, but I'll probably head to Ingrosso. Before that it's a toss up...

Saw that, you will not be disappointed, he puts on the best show there is.

He revealed this one last night. My most wanted track from him. Simply beautiful!

What do you think?

Joris Voorn will release a fantastic EP next monday. Too bad he took down the preview, but that stuff is my release of the year so far!
