Crazy how the Rangers would be in huge ***** if Uncle Bob never helped them out and given Ryan Mcdonagh on top of that.

This list just lost all credibility for not having Rick DiPietro's 15-year disaster as the undisputed #1, let alone in the top 10!

Redden may be a waste of money but I respect him for showing up and continuing to play in the AHL while the likes of Avery refuse to show up. From all reports Redden has been a positive influence on the Rags defensive prospects.

Maybe Gomez can learn from that.

Torres has figured in about 1/3rd of all of Chelsea's goals this season. He's not scoring at a Messi-like rate but he's still doing well. His contract is around 200k per week, which is rather high but not back-breaking.

Even with 2 millions spared on paying salaries (cap hit 7.35, salary: 5.5), no teams want him so you can forget about that bag of pucks, it's just more useful than an unmotivated and often injured center.

And btw, Rags will say no and keep Redden and a lot of pucks.

On another note, interesting cap implications for the Rangers if the trade never happened. The Rangers don't sign Gaborik unless they are happy to bury Gomez in the AHL, too alongside Redden. But I suppose the Dolans are rich enough to not care and might actually have done it. We'll find out if Molson is the same way this offseason.

As there is no salary cap in the EPL though, Torres' contract doesn't affect anything other than how many billions Roman Abramovich has left in the bank...
