I like Lasch's enthusiasm. Who knows, his shiftiness and familiarity with the ice could be a huge asset.
A motivated Lasch is a dangerous thing. I love the kid, as evidenced by my avatar. He's scored at every level he's played at and has done it always being told he can't do it because he's too small. I really think if he were 5'10" instead of 5'7", he'd be in at the very least the AHL and would be scoring there too.
Goalie John Curry of the Hamburg Freezers is joining the team per Kevin Allen. Former BU and AHL netminder.
I liked the guy when he played for BU. However, I'd much rather see Vancouver knocked out so Schneider can join. I don't like Vancouver at all, so seeing them eliminated and Schneider added to the team would be terrific.

Most likely, I agree. Both Schneider/Howard can use the tournament to further their quest for the 2014 Olympic Team. I can't imagine Quick would play. Anderson is possible but they wouldn't target him over the others. Thomas is the wild card. He's always been so eager to represent Team USA so I could see him going but he may also want to rest given the long off-season he had last year.
And just in case others may think this is the case (I've seen it stated in here before) I'll state this now: In no way has Team USA already agreed to one of the goalies suiting up to play if they're eliminated. You need permission from the player's NHL club and they wouldn't dare ask the team, nor the player, to conditionally sign up when they're focused on winning a series. No way it happens.

The tourney is partly being hosted by Finland so that might be some additional appeal to Thomas, although IMO Boston gets past Washington.
As a CBJ fan I can't wait to see what J Johnson and Atkinson do at this tournament. I've seen Cam's NHL stats in earlier posts, but don't forget that at the time of his call-up he was doing very well in Springfield. 29 goals 15 assists in 51 games.
Pavelski would be a dynamic addition to the roster. It'd still leave room for a hope and a prayer of another forward, say a top scoring winger to take the 2nd line spot from Crabb. Do I dream? Zach Parise, Patrick Kane, Ryan Callahan? Ha! Do I go realistic? Chris Higgins, Derek Stepan, Chris Kreider, Brandon Dubinsky, Brandon Saad? Some crazier than others.
