Should be Vancouver vs LA, not the other way around. Home team is always on the right or if they're one above the other, home team at the bottom.

This is the biggest game for the kings since then, so could be biggest game in 11 years!!
It is easily the biggest game since they lost game 7 to the Avalanche in 2001.

We did but in 2002 it was the first round and in 2001 it was the second round. Had the Kings won in the second round of 2001, it would have been huge. Losing in the first round the following year in 7 games wasn't as significant to me. But since we aren't comparing those two, I guess you are right, biggest since 2002. Whatever it is, it has been a long ****ing time since they played a game this significant.

Colorado in Game 7 in 2002, Colorado in Game 7 in 2001, and Detroit in Game 6 in 2001. That's it since the Leafs in Game 7 in 1993.

That Deadmarsh goal was perfection. Every guy touched the puck on the way up the ice. Schneider got it in the corner, over to Miller, up to Palffy in the middle, over to Stumpel, and Deadmarsh in the absolute perfect spot.

As lame as it sounds that goal still tears me up.

When Deadmarsh, Palffy, and Allison were healthy I like our team alot. Still miffs me.
When Palffy left the pens he was still over a point a game player, the team just sucked. That year the Pens had Lemieux, Crosby and Palffy. I thought they would be better then they were.
Isn't Palffy still playing in the KHL. Magine if he made a Jagr return to LA next year.

Just looked it up he has 53 points through 36 games this year. THis is on Wikipedia so may not be correct. Anyone know why his games were soo low (injury, age). Does anyone know why I care? My guess is that I am using it as a distraction from tonights game.

Wikipedia is COMPLETELY wrong on this then. Palffy has never played in the KHL.

He is playing the Slovakian domestic league, which is QUITE a bit lower. Ranks well below KHL, SEL, FEL, Alkenvsen, Swiss, DEL, CZE leagues at least.

He is playing for his hometown team (Skalica) and set league records in 08-09 with 52g and 99pts in 53gp. He got 83pts in 48gp this year, which was 31 more points than the 2nd leading scorer in the league. It was 09-10 that he got 53pts in 36gp. They play a 55 game schedule I think. This is his 4th year in the league since his NHL retirement, he did not play in 06-07 or 10-11 due to retirement/injuries.

Here is a very good stats for European leagues and prospects. Palffy

Sorry that is my fault with the KHL. I never really know what is what over there.
Maybe he should at least comeback as our PP coach.

Still my favorite Kings player ever. And why I still wear his jersey to every Kings game, even after 12+ years

Agreed Always a tough decision for me between my Palffy or Brown jersey every game I watch. He was pretty much the reason I became a Kings fan.

Hell, I pretty much hoping that Slovakia would beat Canada(as a Canadian ) in the Olympic semi-final in 2010 JUST so Palffy would have a shot at a gold medal.

For the most part these have been pretty well officiated games.

I can't complain.

Yea they have missed some dives by the Canucks but let's face it they aren't going to catch every one of them. For the most part it's been a pretty good series in terms of officiating.

Wonder if Daniel is really going to give full effort. Like on a forecheck, do you see him busting a gut to get ahead of a dman, knowing he will be hit if he does. Or willing to skate the puck into the zone down the boards knowing he will get hit if he does.

At least, luckily for Canucks fans, he plays LW so will be on the opposite side of the ice to Brown. Id be amazed if more than 10 minutes goes by before he is hit hard by Brown though

Other than the goalie interference that wasn't called that allowed the Canucks goal. Luckily it didn't cost the Kings the game.

If Daniel does play, I think he will play very limited 5v5 minutes, most of his minutes will be on the PP. Canucks PP has really struggled, he could help there since it is unlikely he will be hit on the PP. I say he will play maybe 12-14 minutes, most of those on the PP.

EDIT: Great minds, Live in the Now, great minds

It'll mostly be powerplay time.

And it doesn't even need to be spoken by coaches that Daniel needs to take some hard checks when he's on the ice.

Hey guys. Just wanted to stop by and say good luck. If you do eliminate us tonight, I wish you all the best and hope you go on a long playoff run, hopefully culminated with a Cup victory. Your team has played a hell of a series to this point down to every last man.

And if the Canucks can't get a Cup, then by God Willie Mitchell deserves to.

Cheers and good luck.
