I honestly don't think I've ever watched them play when it was against someone other than the pens. Then again, why would you want to?

Yeah I don't watch them either, but I could have sworn I saw a game one night where I heard that chant.

What a horrid front-page. I mean, if you're going to photoshop something, make it look good.

Didn't Briere cry about the Vitale hit? Say that "He was trying to hurt me" with a "clean hit"? Why do they still claim themselves to be the "Broad Street Bullies" when they are the one's crying over the Penguin's "gooning it up" during the last games of the season and during game 3? Laviolette reading to start a coach fight over a clean hit. Where was the satire then?

And Crosby being a coward? No. That is false. He is a superstar. I never seen anyone be made out to be a coward who making a living camping out in front of the net and tips in pucks the way Sid does, while taking the abuse he does. Sid should never, ever drop the gloves to answer for his play... and even if he does, he will just get mocked regardless. Oh, he already did: "He's only hurting himself" - Jaromir Blagr (that name is really funny whoever posted it lol). So Sid is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Haters gonna hate?

The only ones it's clever at is the 3rd-6th grade reading levels.

When I read that this is "extremely clever", I weep for the future of the world.

Yes sir, I have a friend who invited me to a Flyers / Habs game and I heard comments AND the chant from the section we were sitting in. The level of insecurity of some of their fans is astounding.

hahahahahah when a chicago paper showed pronger in a skirt a couple seasons ago this is what the Philadelphia Daily News had to say...

Unlike low-rent cities like Chicago or New York, we actually don't run pictures of opposing players in skirts or diapers. We believe our teams can speak for themselves, in the ice or on the diamond.

Again, it was his opinion at the time. Yes it was published by the website, but your first post was not really accurate--it was pretty misleading.

It's not like the news paper came out with a headline or major story talking about it. It was one blogger's opinion on the subject.

you seem quite concerned about things being "misleading." You are away that Sidney Crosby is not actually a large jungle cat?

I'm a flyers fan and even I think it's dumb. The headline isnt bad, but there is no reason to disgrace a player on a paper. Similar to what Chicago did tonpronger a few years ago. Btw the photo shopping is awful

My question is what the **** is that animal that Crosby is supposed to be, they call him the cowardly Penguin, at least put his head on a Penguin's body and have a Flyer player scaring it or something lol that would make more sense and probably be funnier.

These flyer fan that lurk and troll our board are the most insecure bunch of "fans" I have ever seen. Come on, act like you've won before.... even it is was 37 years ago

As far as the Sid cover, meh... I'm sure it doesn't bother him or the organization. It just shows the fifth grade mentality of their scribes.

If I'm Laviolette I'd actually be pretty pissed about this kind of stuff. The media is only serving to add fuel to the fire and potentially fire up the Pens even more. BEtween juvenile tactics such as this, as well as the t-shirts, the Flyers better hope they don't poke at a sleeping giant for real.

Sounds like Max is hoping that this doesn't serve as motivation for Sid and the Pens.
