I would like to have Rielly just a wee bit more than Trouba, but don't you think Chuck Fletcher may give in and pick Trouba (an equally awesome pick) since he's a local kid? I'd be happy with either pick if both are available at 7.

Would be shocked if the Blues took a Russian goalie playing in the KHL in the first round. Probably the most shocking possible concept that could be suggested for what the Blues will do with their first round pick. I think it is exceptionally unlikely.

No.

Fletcher doesn't touch the first round pick anyway, it's all Flahr. The only reason I think the team would deliberately pass on Rielly (if they thought he was even a smidge better) is because Flahr may not have ever personally scouted him. I suspect that's where Flahr (and many other head scouts) will be next Friday.

Rielly at 7 is good. leaning towards him over Trouba at the moment. dont know much about prospects past 20 so i cant really comment on the 2nd round pick

Top 60

I like the comments....the picks themselves are pretty much in line with others. Keep up the good work!

I dont like it and I don't see it happening.

Especially with Matt Finn as the next pick...I doubt Vancouver passes on Finn if he's there.
Nor Tim Bozon, which we have been reported to be interested in and have scouted and talked with.

Frk better go to the Leafs with the second pick if he falls that far (biased).

I can't remember the last successful defenseman that the Sharks drafted in the 1st or 2nd rounds. Vlasic in 2005, and Carle in 2003? Anyway, Sharks need forwards, badly.
