It's like Felger & Mazz take two hours worth of Red Socks babble and put it on repeat until something new happens.
I know they can't talk Bruins for 4 hours, but Backstrom is suspended, Caps are gonna play their goon Erskine, and Claude Julien is furious at being accused of headhunting by Dale Hunter. That's enough material to put the baseball crap on hold until the end of the show.
Latest ratings came out and eei is still losing on every show and its been a complete year since the big changes were made. I dont know how Jason Wolfe has a job

Ah, schadenfreude! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys.
Can someone please explain to me, as I've been in meetings most of the afternoon, why in the high hell drug addicts are calling in to Felger & Mazz and comparing the Sox to drug addicts/dealers?

I haven't listened, but, as an aside, I still think that Felger and Mazz could set off car alarms and have dogs screaming in pain when their voices get as high pitched as they do when they get excited.
The Bruins are in the playoffs, and my drive to work was 15 minutes of listening to Ordway whining about the Red Sox not inviting Theo to Fenway for the 100th anniversary shindig.

It was going on all day. I turned on the radio on several different occasions and it was Red Sox/Celtics. There was about 5 minutes of Bruins talk on Mut and Merloni, but they quickly went back to the Red Sox so I turned it off.

Mazz made the comparison to the front office being dealers selling everything they can print their name on, and people lining up to buy it.....and that as long as they make money, they don't care. They got off on a tangent, but the basis for it made sense.

Mazz at one point was talking about how ownership takes advantage of the fans, because they know they'll keep coming back for more regardless of the quality of the product, and he said this was akin to the way drug dealers treat their clients, the drug addicts. A little later, a guy, called in to tell Mazz that, speaking as an ex-addict, he felt the analogy was spot-on. He mentioned how if you need a fix at 2 in the morning you can turn on the TV to get some, etc.... Felger was disappointed that the caller ended his call abruptly because he had wanted to ask him which drug he would compare the Sox to, so a while later they put on the same caller to ask him that, except the question got derailed or transformed into a question about what had been the caller's drug of choice -- to which he answered at first (and I paraphrase) "anything you put in front of me" and then more specifically "opiates and cocaine" (iirc).
Thanks guys. Now that I know the back story it makes sense and is actually pretty spot on. But as someone who wasn't listening the whole time, I heard people calling in about being drug ddicts, F&M laughing, and thought it was borderline offensive. It takes a LOT to offend me (and I mean a LOT), so glad to hear I had missed something.

And Tony even said he didn't want to be offensive to anyone and specifically the guy who called in, but it was all good......
